I'm actually more excited that I'm one of the first to spot this (well, first couple of hundreds or thousands, anyway) than the fact that it exists. But cool beans either way. :D

Now then, what we need is a "Complete Cheaters Guide to NS," consisting of how to answer every issue in order to attain various goals (government types, economic/political/civil ratings, etc). Who wants to give it a shot?

Edit: Nevermind. I just now looked what the forum is actually about. By "gameplay" you mean the roleplaying, not the actual game mechanics. Dangit :P

It is not the sort of RP where you say what tank units are heading towards what, it is more like for the practical details of running regions and nations, and the maintenance of diplomatic relations. Political RP or a sort.

What you're talking about would go in Got Issues? I believe.

Tanks = practical details :P

Okay, okay, now I'm confused, is this sort of a bastard stepson of Nationstates and Technical? Or is it for the 'otther aspect' of things like region crashing? See, I make a distinction between "relations between nations" as in region crashing and that sort of thing, and "relations between nations" as in roleplayed wars. In my mind they are two distinct things, and lately this GDODAD thread by AMF has got me worried that people are gonna start injecting gameplay [region crashing etc] into roleplay, as I once made the mistake of doing...

In my mind one is OOC and the other is IC, and the twain nary should meet.

Okay. So that thread I mentioned would have a better home here than in NS?

Yeah, sounds like it.

Cool. Maybe I can get all down and dirty reminiscing about my former days of glory smacking down the Pizzle Nizzle Alliance, invading Jesus (nicest, most compassionate citizens in the world!) and becoming emperor of the Utopian Empire. Ahhh, now that was fun.

Hrmm... maybe I should get back into that sort of thing. Was nice to be evil, as in "actually hated by people" evil.

A bit of everything at present, we will see how it turns out.

Principally, this is for NS World gameplay, region crashing being just one element of the complex Realpolitik involved. Relations between both regions and nations are relevant. Say a nation with past allegiances to Region X turns up in Region Y, which is part of the XYZ regional alliance, which had expelled Region X for griefing. The people involved would want to discuss that sort of thing in a semi-IC way. So far this has been done by telegram and in off-site forums, this place would amongst other things be a home for all that. Plus recruitment issues and I imagine some elements of what is covered in Technical, maybe UN. Although we would not want outright duplication of their functions, I imagine there will be a bit of thread movement while things get started.

The stuff to do with imaginary tanks would stay in NS and II, of course.

Bingo, at least that's how I (and probably a bunch of other people from the thread that started this forum) are gonna treat it.

Talking basicly a bit more about the nations as players than as possessors of large amounts of weapons.

Oooo... new forum... you know what's just easiest? Considering there are 3 extensive roleplaying forums now: pick a forum and RP in it. Badda-bang, badda-boom, cuts down on confusion on where you posted what in what forum.

I've always liked the nation::person analogy. I think I departed from that right about the same time I began building armies of imaginary tanks.

Still, I have some of the best imaginary tanks in the world. Gotta stick with it. :D

Indeed, some RPers, just don't seem to get that this is not another RPing forum.
