Old NS Server, you've done your absolute best through thick and thin. And you gave up millions of times. But still, you are the one who showed me NS that fated December 26 of 2003. You still were the one presenting me NS on the fated final day of June 27, 2004. You've gotten me through 3 wars, all lost. You've gotten me in and out of the UN, with plenty of regrets. You've helped me witness the fall of Paratoga, Ur6, TRA, and many many more.

Even though you and I did not get along much, I am man enough to admit that you are one hell of a server. I think this may be the gallon of chocolate milk that I am drinking that is speaking right now, but my point is:

I'll second that. This server has done it's best. It may not have always been exactly what everyone wanted, but darn it, the little guy tried. So farewell, little server. It's been fun.

What's going to happen to the server after we switch?

Be allocated to something else I guess.

Thank you Comrade Server, though your time is up, you did gallantly considering what you were up against.

All I can say to this server is that, while I occasionally wanted to physically hurt you, those times were massively out numbered by the times I could load pages regularly.

And then, she hit a record number of nations (around 500,000 I bleieve) and the server started crashing alot. Well, it soon be retired (well, given an easier job) and be replaced by a pumped up server on steroids...that servers name? Is JOLT!

Goodbye old server, I only recently came to ye. You were one of the most spastic server relationships I have ever had. You did your best under the taxing circumstances we put you through. *gets a little tear* I am sorry, but we have found someone new. Her name is Jolt. She is fast, and she is real good in the sack. I am sorry, but I think we should go see other people. I hear that there is a group of depressed teenage poets out there looking for a place to put up their depressing mediocre poetry, why don't you go and check them out? I am sure that they would love a server like you. As for me, I have a date with Jolt tomorrow. Don't give me that look! I am sorry, but this just wasn't ment to be. You were great for a little while, but I have to move on. Now don't you start crying on me! Oh, come on! You should have seen this coming. Don't you walk away from me!

You served us well. Through flamewars and RPs, rational debate to the ubiquitous word games, you were always by our side, striving to keep up with our demand for all your bandwidth.
You saw us through the trials of the PopBug, the humiliation of Max's cruel April Fool's joke, and the glory of Forum 7.
O Server, you were there for me when I was brutally humiliated in my first war against Trixia, and remained by my side during the ensuing peace talks. Even when you crapped out on me, I remembered that you were doing your best.
You cried by our sides when Raysia and TRA went to their premature ends, rejoiced with us upon their triumphant return. You saw both the Preliminary, First, and Second Comings of Jeff, Son of the Pink Pony.
It was upon you that I learned the art of free-form dogpile smack-downage, and through you that I saw the joy that is rainbow-speak. So, as my tribute to you:

Farewell, dear server. I shall miss the endless stream of posts in Technical going "wtf 'no post mode specified' what kind of crappy forum is this" and "it's taken me three hours just to make this one post!" and "ns is horrible I can't even get on it half the time"... yes, I'll miss sitting here frustratedly hitting refresh a dozen times and finally getting through only to discover a double or triple post... I will mourn the fact that I will no longer dread to click that "Forums" link in the mornings, because I knew what a battle awaited me.......

The server is leaving the same day as me, so I kind of feel like a brother to it. I go to boot camp the same day the server retires.

Should I be alarmed that you're writing poems for the server?

Anyway, it's done it's tour of duty. Hopefully it'll get retired to showing teenage's homepages full of bright graphics and mis-spelled words.

This server like "The Little Engine that Could," except when it had to climb the hill it burned out it's power and crashed killing all aboard.

What type of server is it? Hopefully not a Sun Microsystems one, those are too good to **** out on you like this one did.

this server's last day is my 18th b-day. so as the server transtions to something better, i start my transition into an adult.
