For the U21 Championship the IFA will not only be providing accommodation, the football stadia and also diplomatic immunity to some players. They have also decided that each trophy should be unique and will be creating them from scratch. The first cup is in the shape of a swan, made from glass with two black pearls for eyes.

Day 1
Group F
Lennon Marx under 21s 3 Liverpool England under 21s 1

In a match which was dominated by the team from Lennon Marx, Liverpool England were rolled up, tossed aside like garbage, and just played plain bad.

Decaltré Jomans reports from Total n Utter Insanity.

"I'm here in Total n Utter Insanity, where the home fans have had plenty to cheer about. The seventeen hundred Liverpool England fans, travelling over 2300 miles to come here, have gone home disappointed.

Lennon Marx took the lead in the tweflth minute, a bad back pass by Jon Atskins allowed their number 6 midfielder to capitalise and chip a perfect lob over Mark Hearne Junior, son of World cup winning keeper Mark Hearne.

Three minutes later Liverpool England had equalised. Darren Fernandez had earned the team a penalty. Going into the box after a scorching 30-yard run, he was felled by the goalkeeper, who received a yellow ccard for dissent after he kicked the ball away. Fernandez himself scored to make it 1-1.

It was all over befre half time though, player 6 completing the hattrick first with a blast from 25 yards then a perfect diving header which connected with a player 4 corner.

Decaltré Jomans, LEINN, in Lennon Marx, I mean, Total n Utter Insanity."

NEWSFLASH:

The Giant Zucchini Under 21s did the nation proud, defeating Hazatak 3-1. Simoleons United striker Raasch gave the Zucchinis the lead in the 34th minute after Wurtherington Wanderers winger Garranncha tickled the Hazatak defence before sending in a low cross, which Raasch finished emphatically. Simoleons forward Daalglsch added another after a mazy run down the right to put away a brilliantly placed shot beyond the Hazatak keeper early on in the second half. Hazatak got their chance when their low cross was put into the net at close range, leaving Buckeroo City keeper Buncksh no chance. Buncksh had a good game overall, his safe hands having a calming effect on the team. Wurtherington midfielder Charrtaan finished off scoring with a long range bullet in extra time.

Strike Birds U21 opens with tie

Eagles Nest ties Europa Brittania 1-1

The Eagle Nest U21's open there campaign by tying traditional powerhouse Europa Brittania 1-1. The game was a real trial for the Birds as it was the first real game for the new team, put together when the U21 Cup was announced.

The first half was a traditional feeling out of each other, seeing what each team had with the teams going to the half scoreless. EB opened up the scoring with a score 10 minutes into the second half on a beautiful strike to take the lead 1-0. The Nest was able to equalize 20 minutes later with a header by striker Greg Samir. At this point, each team had a few more chances but the keepers were up to the task and closed off the net to end the game at 1 apiece.

The Birds will also play familiar opponent BSE Free Bovines (an opponent for the National team in WCXII, and Mattigool in Group A. While a tie does not definately put them in a good position, the Birds got a point in this qualifying round.

((Is there a thread for rosters or scores? I can't find them. Can you link them in the first post? Thanks))

The newbs Archieve 'encouraGing loss'
The U21 team, also known as 'the newbs', lost its first match in the U21 against Jerusalem 3-4. Coach Jisu Jetta, who as nominated for this job in a surprising way, called this result: "Disappointing but in a way encouraging. the problem was that the 0-1 happened at a psychologically bad time." He didn't answer the question if there are goals against at a psychologically good time. Some reasons for this loss are the fact, that the team is internationally unexperienced and never played in this formation before. Ila Iles would give another reason: 'The opponents were better'

Squires pip Rejistania in thriller

The first U-21 game for the junior Squires team who are attempting to emulate their senior teammates, The Crusaders, who finished 4th in the Eagle's Cup, proved to be a fight. Rejistania, a new team, nearly upset the Squires who were forced to finish off the game late.

The Squires lead 2-1 on the first half after McDonald put them ahead with a deadly header from a corner on the 10th minute. Rejistania equalised as Si put home a goal after some Ping-Pong like defending failed to clear the Jeruselem goal mouth in the 23rd minute. Stuart returned the Squires to the lead after a low shot slipped through the keeper's grasp in the 30th minute.

Liik equalised again with a brilliant penalty kick leaving Ahmad the keeper grasping for thin air in the 48th. McDonald returned the favour by scoring again in the 62nd after a free kick deflected of the Rejistania wall into their net. Rejistania equalised soon after in the 67th with Liik breaking the off-side trap to score an easy goal. Mimi Goldstein, relative of Rabbi Goldstein the Crusader defender and Rabbi, scored for the Squires after slipping past two defenders and chipping the Rejistania keeper for the game winner.

Daily Hazatak - Sports News

Yesterday our U21 team made the very first match for the World Championship, losing to Giant Zucchini by 3x1. Even though the adversaries were superior all the time, the Hazatakan coach Bem Komnor was rather optimistic. "Our team is just participating on their first international tournament. All of them plays on national teams, they totally lack of international experience. I am even surprised that we made a goal!". He continued, talking about his expectations for the Hazatakans on this tournament: "We expect to win at least one match. That´s our objective. Anything beyond that will be a welcomed profit."

About the next match, Komnor expects a better result: "Midfielder Aym Nassr played only the last 15 minutes, and did a great job. He can be very well on the starting lineup next match. We are preparing a more offensive team, but I am not going to speak more about it until the end of the game".

Strike Birds Fall to Mattigool

Late Penalty Cost Birds the win.

After a spectacular game, the Birds inexperience caught up to them as an ill-advised tackle late in the second half proved to be the undoing of a great effort against Mattigool's U21 team as the U21 Strike Birds fall 4-3 in Group A action today.

The match started out very quickly as both teams ran the ball up and down the pitch getting many good chances on the goalies before Mattigool got the first two goals in quick succession on great strike past the Strike Birds' goalie. The game looked to go in at halftime 2-0 when striker Greg Samir ran a quick pass to Mario Samoria and received a pass back to get an uncontested shot at the net for the Bird's first goal. 2-1 at the half.

The second half opened up with a fast strike by Greg to gain his second goal with a header to the lower left corner. to tie the match. 20 minutes later, Samir got his third goal on a rebound off of the goalie to take the lead 3-2.

But the inexperience showed through here as a tackle that resulted in a free kick was not defended correctly and allowed a clear shot with no wall at the net that was quickly converted to tie the game. In the ensuing confusion, one of the Birds defensemen tackled a Mattigool striker as he was going back to his side after the goal. The defenseman, Aruna Segora was flagged with a red card and the Birds had to play a man down, which cost them not five minutes later as a pressing attack by the Gools gave them a 4 on 3 attack. Crisp passing found the open man, and mattigool took the lead for good 4-3.

Aruna Segora has been sent home for his actions and the Birds are now in third place. They may have sealed their own fate depending on what happened on the BSE Free Bovines-Europa Brittania match.

YOUNG DRUIDS LOOK READY FOR BIG TIME
Ieauan Commer in Total n Utter Insanity

Before the World Under-21 Championships, NEWI Cefn Druids was not renowned for it's football. Having managed just four wins before the Eagles Cup friendly tournament, in which they somehow managed a third place, many were expecting the Young Druids to be as bad, if not worse, than the senior team. However, early indications are that this is not the case at all.

In just two matches, the Druids are all but through to the second round, outscoring every other team while having the joint third best defence in the competition. Eleven goals in two games is more than the senior team managed during the fourteen games in qualifying for World Cup 12.

So just who are these youngsters? Well, some of them have been on the fringes of the senior squad, whilst some have virtually appeared from nowhere. Let's take a look at the squad below, with the regular starters as 1-11...

1. Reg Garth (20, GK, Trevor City)
2. Liam Evans (19, LB, Graths Wanderers)
3. Trevor Phillipson (20, RB, Cefn Athletic)
4. Horace Orange (17, MF, Cefn Bus Station) [also eligible for Oglethorpia through father]
5. Amos Hinton (21, CB, Parkville)
6. Eric Groves (21, CB, Great Tawney Owls)
7. Trevor Jones (16, RW, Inter Dave)
8. Rhys Magee-Dennis (18, MF, Inter Dave)
9. Trevor Belmore (20, FW, Mawr Town) [also eligible for The Belmore Family through grandfather and Belmorian Scandanavia through grandmother]
10. Trevor Cheese (18, FW, Kirkanden)
11. Toby Holmes (19, LW, South Grayside)

Of these, only Hinton has a full cap, while Magee-Daniels appeared on the WC12 roster, but never played. The remainder of the squad are...

12. Trevor Rocca (19, FW, Brallton)
13. Garth Wright (19, GK, Graymouth)
14. Trevor Welsh (15, MF, Cefn Albion)
15. Hugo Trevor (20, CB, West Cefn Rangers)
16. Trevor Cooper (20, LWB, Cefn Athletic)
17. Graham Williams (20, MF/FW, Huwdaey)
18. Huw Llangoghllan (18, RW, Llllllllllcwllllllll Rovers)
19. Trevor Pinkney (18, MF, Ormillton Weaponary)
20. Trevor Sugden (17, CB, Kirkanden)

So, two games in, and impressive they were, too. Firstly were Clearwater (not to be confused with Creedence Cleawater), who seemed to be confused when they appeared to see what looked like two of the Druid players passing the ball between themselves. As soon as this happened, alarm bells rang that they hadn't really prepared for what was to happen. It was the lad with the most famous, and maybe also infamous, name in world football who stole the show, Trevor Belmore netting four for the Druids, while strike partner Trevor Cheese managed one, as did substitute Graham Williams. Also worthy of a mention was Horace Orange, who was solid in midfield, and set Belmore up for two of his goals in the 6-1 win.

The second game was against a more established football nation, Cockbill Street. However, the result was still pretty much the same. This time, Belmore only managed a couple, while Cheese, Jones and Magee-Daniels chipped in with the others as the Young Druids came out 5-2 winners. However, with the Young Druids on such a run of form, could it be that they'll burn out by the latter stages? We think that they could, but we'll be seeing a lot more of this lot in the years to come.

U21 Roster Unveiled
Calcéte, Plooms highlight roster

AP – The Kingsford National Athletic Guild released the roster for the first ever U21 team. The roster, released last Monday in Toryo, is “filled with many young talents that will someday fill a senior Kingsford National” declared Guild President Ben Nawhawk.

The roster is highlighted by two players in particular who will undoubtedly marquee the senior squad in World Cup 13. The first, Saturn Calcéte, 16, of Barcoenfuego; and Norman Plooms, 20, of Thunderbird.

The story of Saturn Calcéte is a magnificent one. He dropped out of Barcoenfuego South Central High School at the age of 15 to play for Barcoenfuego Juniors. Soon, the KPL team saw his talent and picked him up, and he was starting with the ranks of Pacé Araño and George Quintana, both Senior side starters. He held the league record in goals, and eventually the empire-esque club team Elders bought him for 25.2 Million Kingsford dollars, where he would start with Brian Morstedd, Scott Dark, and Simon the Canaanite, all senior side players. He started for the North side in the KPL all star game, and has been making headlines since. Most recently, the blazing orange Elders jersey bearing his name has been the highest selling jersey in KPL history. It seems only fit that he would play at a national level, and it is surprising he was not picked to be on the newly reconstructed Kingsford National.

Norman Plooms is currently playing on the college squad for Thunderbird A&T, and is in his third year in the gold and black of the Wareagles. His abilities in goal were first realized when his high school team, Three Valleys Joint High School, won the Thunderbird regional, Valdestower county, Southwestern, West, and eventually Kingsford title, having only 1 hit the netting throughout the entire year. He was offered a contract by a record 12 teams in his Senior year of high school, but instead chose to get a full college education, and will declare himself eligible for the draft after earning a Thunderbird A&T diploma. He has been compared to the level of Kingsford keeper greats Ty Flyer, John Thompson, Mark Talisman, and Pacé Araño, and soon hopes to don a Kingsford National jersey, as these great names in the past have, and show his ability to shine.

U21 National Winless, but Calcéte performs strong

A frustrated Calcéte has clocked 4 goals and 180+ minutes in the last two games Kingsford has played. However, the National came up with a pair of 2-2 draws. “It’s frustrating” say Calcéte “to perform better than anyone in this (expletive deleted) joke of a tournament, and have your team let you down so you end up with draws.”

Calcéte, already the undisputed best player in Kingsford, leading his club Barcoenfuego to 3 consecutive titles, has tried out for the Kingsford National World Cup squad 3 times, but has been placed on the U21 squad by coach Renson Davis because he’s “too young.”

Calcéte, only 17, already has his own line of clothing through athletics company Sole, and is signed on a 36 million OK Credit 7 year deal with Barcoenfuego.

From the Desnike City News:

The streak continues
The Belmore Family is a common opponent in many competitions: Twice in Field Hockey, once in Handball and twice in Speedball. Until now, the Belmorians are still without a win from their matches against the Junis-Omeh, the Orange-Whites or the Deshana Duru. The match against the young Orange-Blues didn't end the victorious streak for Rejistania. Perhaps encouraged by the great performance of the older Orange-Blues (inappropriatly called: 'the newbs'), the U21 team defeated the Belmorians in a 5 goals thriller. At the end, a late goal of Liy Ra decided the match for the young Orange-Blues.

The match started as a mixture of furious attacking, lacking skill and utter confusion. The latter resulting of the fact that all belmorian players only had the name 'BELMORE' on their tricots. The Desnike City News does not have any information if all players are called Belmore or if it is an abbreviation for 'The Belmore Family' what we know is that is caused most confusion after the famous match against Nikea, where the Orange-Blues (the older ones) had to play in Nikean away kits (with the nikean names on them) while the Nikeans played in their home kits.* The Belmorians had the right amount of luck to get past the Orange-Blue defense and archieve the lead in the 20th minute. For the already mentioned reason, we can not give the name of the scorer. In the pretty offensive match, both teams had good chances, but until the 40th minute, none was capitalised. Then Tari Liik made an equalizer which reminded of SyLy's goals for the Orange-Blues in his young years. It is bad that this great player may not play for the real Orange-Blues. Until a few weeks, he was stateless since his parents did not show up since he was found on the shores of Na~ovi kali apparently suffering from amnesia seven years ago. Only four minutes after Liik'he's goal and one minute before half-time, again the Bemorians took the lead. At half-time, the score was 2-1.

In the second half, the team got back to a stable and mostly defensive System Imdila (even if it was really a System Jetta since Jisu Jetta coached the team). The Belmorians did not get many chances and the few they got were spoiled by Syku Rajes and the defenders. The young Orange-Blues however got some good chances for counters and since the Belmorians were not used to this style of match, Si'he and Ra'he both put their name on the score sheet. The last goal in this match could as well have been an own-goal of the goalie, but the officials did want to avoid confusion with yet another Belmore and assigned it the Mikedian midfieilder.

The result:
Rejistania 3 (Liik 40th, Si 56th, Ra 84th)
The Belmore Family 2 (Belmore 20th, Belmore 44th)

It's almost halfway through this tournament and I thought we could take a look at some of the bad examples of RPing, and explain why they don't count towards the RP Bonus*

*RP Bonus System
0 RPs = 0 RPR points
1 RP = 20 RPR points
2+ RPs = 40 RPR points

The mighty Baguio Tigers is 0 - 1 in the standings ... i guess thats 20 more laps for the footballers!!!

Also known as Aquillish style RPing. Pretty obvious why it doesn't count.

In a quest to bring the cup back to its rightful place, the population of generation madness have all donated 89 pints (currency) each to pay for a new defensive coach to tighten up performance. Former world cup winning captain Tony Akawata has been given the job as previously awarded universal player of the year 68 years in a row. Formidable defensive performances are expected in the future alongisde an already devastating attack.

Also known as Alan Belmore Syndrome. Godmodding in the extreme.

Birds Come Through With Win

Eagle's Nest U21 beats BSE Free Bovines U21 3-2

After being in last place after Matchday 2, the Nest gave themself hope to transfer with a 3-2 win over the Bovines. With the 3 points the Nest is now tied with BSE Free Bovines at 4 points, with the Mattigool-Europa Brittania match to decide the Bird's standings. More on that later.

The match opened up with great defense on both sides as Horace, the mascot for BSE Free Bovines roamed the sideline rooting on the Bovines. A win for them and they were through. However, the Birds had other ideas as they quickly struck first with a great conenction from Segour to Remaria for a give and go that beat the goalie to take the lead 1-0. The Bovines tied the game soon there after with a great curling shot from near the spot. The game went to half with only one goal apiece.

The second half saw a bit of confusion as Horace was subbed in. The Nest Coach immediately screamed that Horace was ineligble since he wasn't on teh roster, and MIGHT not be younger than 21, but the referree waved his arguement off right about the time that Horace scored a great goal to take the lead 2-1. The Nest fought back with meticulous offense getting a second goal 7 minutes later.

The Birds knew a tie would do them no good so they took a playbook from their older counterparts and had their goalie drive the ball to the midline and kick it into the box towards a streaming Segour who was able to hit a great shot of the top bar to take the lead 3-2. The Nest defense held off a great assault by Horace to get the much needed win.

At this point, the known standings are as follows:

[code:1:4a55629c17]
Name P W D L F A GD Pts
BSE Free Bovines 3 1 1 1 8 8 0 4
The Eagle's Nest 3 1 1 1 7 7 0 4
Mattigool 2 1 0 1 7 7 0 3
Europa Brittania 2 0 2 0 3 3 0 2
[/code:1:4a55629c17]

If the Mattigool-Europa Brittania game ends in a tie, there is a 3 way tie for first. If Mattigool or Europa Brittania win, they are in first alone. It's time to wait and see what happens.

Honours equal...again and again.

Europa Brittania U21s once more drew all square with their opponents following a 1-1 draw with up and coming pariticpants Eagle's Nest and a 2-2 draw with BSE Free Bovines.

During the Eagle tie, Richard Webster provided the solitary strike that put the champions ahead after a short while, only to be pegged back by considerable Eagle pressure, which they were subsequently unable to breach for a second.

Frustration abounded once more, with a 2-2 draw with BSE Free Bovines.

EB took the lead again, a well worked set peice allowed Ronald Jacckson to send a curling free kick into the left hand corner, far outpacing the keeper. However, slackness paid a price, and before the halftime interval, EB were again drawn level. A clumsy challenge in the box by Giann Risse led to a penalty for Bovine, who duly converted.

And the second half offered little in the way of improvement. EB fell behind within five minutes of the restart, a Bovine corner being cleared only half-heartedly, and the returning ball finding the bullet head of the Bovines forward.

Only a long range effort on seventy eight minutes from Frank Carson, taking a slight deflection in, managed to beat the Bovine keeper and manage a draw.

So, on to the Mattigol game, which ended in another draw, and surely a record EB would be happy not to see again. The Brittanian youngsters started well, forcing a good save from Mattigol within ten minutes of the kick off, and remained confident in their passing and movement.

Pressure was rewarded after a superb through-ball found Richard Webster, who cooly rounded the keeper to slot home. With an obvious mind to previous results, EB switched to a defensive minded outlook, determined to retain the lead and manage a first win in their group.

Unfortunatley, it was not to be. On fifty minutes, a Mattigol Cross from the left was completely missed by Gianni Risse, and found the diving form of a Mattigol midfielder who poked the ball into the far right corner of the net.

Brittania almost restored a lead in the dying minutes, a corner swung in was nodded back across goal by Webster, and the Mattigol keeper coming to claim, completely misjudged the situation, only to breathe a sigh of relief as the resulting header was cleared off the line.

U21 Coach Mikeal Farn, added his disappointment-

"Frankly, drawing in all our matches is simply not good enough. We're still undefeated, but at the cost of retiring from the tournament is hardly what I'd call a worthwhile return. We've proven here our forwards are of the highest quality. Young Richard Webster will become as big as any in the first team now. But obviously, our defending is becoming a serious issue. I will look into what can be done, and hopefully, we'll return all the stronger for it."

Squires head off Belmores

In a shock result, The Belmore Family lost 1-0 to the undefeated Squires in the U-21 championships. The Squires known for their "late late" goals, broke the 0-0 deadlock in extra-time when Belmore defenders messed up a clearance gifting Jeruselem a win after an unfortunate deflection for an own goal.

U-21 coach looked happy and the Squires thanked their small band of loyal fans who followed Jeruselem soccer teams whereever they went. Jeruselem lead Group C with three wins with The Belmore Family team looking a little trouble.

Under-21s Off to Good Start
Two wins and a draw to kick off U21 World Cup

TOTAL N UTTER INSANITY -- The Bedistan Cubs (so named to avoid confusion with the "Lions", the main national football side) have gotten off to a splendid start in the first ever Under-21 World Cup. Matchday 1 saw the Cubs see off unknowns Patchoulli with a 1-0 victory, and offense was the key in the second match, which resulted in a 4-2 Bedistani win over Hazatak.

Today was a much tougher battle though. Giant Zucchini, one of the giants (pun not intended) of international football, fielded the next squad to face the Cubs. As in the Hazatak match, offense was the key, and both teams had plenty of it. Giant Zucchini started the scoring with a simple 8th-minute shot that <goalkeeper 1> couldn't handle, giving them a 1-0 lead. Midway through the first half, <defender 3> accidentally brought down <GZ striker> on the edge of the box, conceding a penalty. Again, <goalkeeper 1> couldn't handle it and the Zucchinis were up 2-0.

The second half, however, showed some of the most exciting under-21 play seen in quite some time. <Striker 10> managed two quick goals early on to even the score, but the Zucchinis fought back, with <GZ striker> making a lovely 20-yard shot to regain the lead, 3-2. Shortly afterward, the Cubs again equalized, with <midfielder 6> heading the ball in from a <midfielder 8> corner kick. A <striker 11> free kick in the 81st would give the Cubs the lead for the first time in the match, but Giant Zucchini just managed to send in one more mere seconds before the whistle, making the final score 4-4.

"I'm happy with the team's performance so far, and I'm ecstatic that they drew with Giant Zucchini," says Jeff Whitehurst, assistant manager for the Lions and acting manager of the Cubs. "2-1-0 is a great start, and I hope we can keep up this good form."

Final score:
Giant Zucchini 4 (9, 22, 61, 90)
Bedistan 4 (48, 52, 65, 81)

Booze and goals
Even in the country of Total n Utter Insanity*, aftermath of the World Cup and the resulting madness in Rejistania had his influences: The young Orange-Blues partied so hard as if it was them who just won the cup. The result: on the next day when they were supposed to face Presgreif, everyone had a hangover, including the coach. The starting formation consisted of the players who could play or at least could pretend to play. The starting formation was:
M. Sidekhir,
M. Koleni, J. Jen, I. Kansu, S. Mi
N. Mekeh, D. Xa, E. Hail, L. Ra

This formation gave a good idea how the match was. Every second ball was intercepted by the opponents. The match ended 1-5. That result was flattering.

Audioslavia Withstand Bedistan Anal-Ram
'Slaves through to U21 quarter-final

With the 'slaves being denied the World Cup Championships a few weeks ago, it seems they could still collect the U21 Championship if they play their cards right.

Having opened with a disasterous 4-1 loss to the impressive Creedence Clearwater, Audioslavia bounced back in the group rounds to defeat Ravenspire and Baguio and qualify in second place.

The second round opponents, Bedistan, had topped a group ahead of Giant Zucchini and lesser-known nations Patchoulli and Hazatak.

The 'Slaves-Cubs game started badly for the Audioslavian faitthful, as Bedistan took the lead through an early header, but by half-time Audioslavia had managed to scrape a goal back through a Phil Greene header, and in the second half, took the game to the Cubs, scoring once through sub Mick O`Deane and again on the stroke of full time through a well-taken goal by Raiden Rovers' young prospect Jeff Jordan.

No Escape from 'slavery
Bedistan under-21s eliminated in second round

TOTAL N UTTER INSANITY -- For some reason, Bedistan Lions assistant manager (and thus Cubs manager) Jeff Whitehurst did not realize that the first round was over, nor that the Cubs had finished at the top of their group. "I don't know why, but I thought we were playing the other teams in the group again," he admitted. "I guess I'm too used to having to qualify first." Thus, imagine his surprise upon discovering that the next match was not against Patchoulli, but instead against the under-21 complement to the World Cup 12 runners-up: Audioslavia.

"Oh ****," Whitehurst commented upon receiving the news.

Nevertheless, the Cubs started off playing very well. Seven minutes in, midfielder Emilio Pennix received a free kick. He promptly sent the ball forward to striker Greg Dude, who headed the ball on past a bewildered James Scott for the first goal of the match.

But it was all downhill from there. 16-year-old Perry Gerson proved unable to save a Phil Greene header just before halftime, and the Cubs were on the defensive for the entirety of the second half. Mick O'Deane produced the 'slaves' second goal in the 62nd, and even the bringing on of substitute keeper Jason Mazzini could not prevent a Jeff Jordan goal at full time.

"We'll get 'em next time," said Whitehurst after the match. Hopefully, the media will "get 'em" as well -- the matches, we mean. Reports show that practically no attention was paid to the event in Bedistan until the end of the first round, with the first notice occurring just before the Giant Zucchini match.

Gools U21 are through to the semi-finals

(Total 'n Utter Insanity) Gools U21 showed that it was more than luck to go through group stage. With just 4 pts they were on top of the table after three matches. But in the second round they showed their skill and sent home rather unknown Presgreif.
Old rival Creedence Clearwater was next station. CC had been unbeaten up to that match, sent home Giant Zucchini with an unbelieveble 5-1 victory. The young Gools have been warned and showed again, that it was not just luck that they qualified for 2nd round. Rune Kristensen, younger brother of famous striker Alexander Kristensen from Fichte SK, was man of match against CC. Two assists and one goal showed his qualities as attacking midfielder.

hey its a lucky coincidence you had a player called Dude

You dont see a final for 34 years....
Then two come along at once

34 years and many unsuccesful/laughable/death-ridden (delete as applicable) football tournaments from their inception, Audioslavia have reached their second world cup final in a matter of months.

Already proving themselves to be just-not-good-enough in the man's game (ok yes, and womans as well, damn liberals :P) Audioslavia now have the chance to do the same in the U21 World Cup.

Having recovered from a 4-1 thumping by Creedence Clearwater to take big wins over Baguio, Ravenspire and Bedistan, the 'slaves U21 side played a close game against BSE Free Bovines, coming from two goals down at half-time to drawing level through goals by Rejistanian born Jordi Neeskens and the 'slaves best player Jeff Jordan, Audioslavia blitzed the bovines in the first half of extra time, taking a 4-2 lead into the break after James Herald had put the side into the lead and Scott Cummings scored a well-taken header from a corner.

The Bovines battled back in the second half, but only managed to break the 'slaves defence twice. Once chance fell to the number nine who put his finish wide, whilst the other was scored by the Bovines' number 11.

The final whistle came too early though, and Audioslavia were through to the semis to play Mattigool.

BSE Free Bovines 3 (Player <9> 12, Player <6> 28, Player <11> 126)

Mattigool were shaping up to be favourites for the tournament, having despatched the previous favourites Creedence Clearwater in emphatic style just three days earlier, but the match went the same way as the two meetings between the sides in full internationals.

Herald scored the 'slaves first goal after only nine minutes, latching onto a clever through-ball by Jordan and chipping the ball over the goalkeeper.

Three minutes later it was 2-0 as Maudlin's sliced cross was poorly dealt with by the 'gools defence, and Phil Greene pounced. The 'slaves took the game out of Mattigool's reach on the half-hour mark. Sean Lowther had a crack from distance, the inexperienced goalkeeper made a hash of it, and Greene was there again to score.

Mattigool played better in the second half, creating numerous chances in a twenty-minute spell which saw them completely out-play the 'slaves, but only one of the chances counted as the hotly-tipped Rune Kristensen expertly skinned Howard Flint, tricked Lowther out of his shorts and sent a sweet ball to Hansen to finish.

Mattigool went looking for a second, but the side got too cocky and the first 'slave counter-attack produced a crushing goal, scored by substitute Yves Martins.

The game bogged down after the goal, with the 'slaves tired and the 'gools disheartened, and the game finished 4-1

Final Score

Audioslavia 4 (Herald 9, Greene 12, 32, Martins 71)
Mattigool 1 (Hansen 64)

The 'slaves now face the prevailing side from the second half of the draw, which could be anyone from Creedless Clearwater, Generation Madness, Stimronia and NEWI Cefn Druids. Heres hoping they can finally take some silverware back to Audioslavia.

Welcome Home, Boys!

The people of Creedence Clearwater can be really proud of the performances shown by our team at the first U-21 World Cup.

They won all their First Round matches and kicked Giant Zucchini out of Round 2 with a smashing 5-1!

Perhaps that big success caused too much complacency? The young Gools showed our team where it really belongs. It will be a long way to the top, but they can make it for sure!

So, all that's left to say is: Good Luck Gools for the Semi-Finals. Go and get some silverware for our region "Meistertrainerforum" !

Actually it's glassware...

The first cup is in the shape of a swan, made from glass with two black pearls for eyes.

...and your players are safe.

For the U21 Championship the IFA will not only be providing accommodation, the football stadia and also diplomatic immunity to some players.

The Audioslavia U21 team bus (slightly smaller and newer than the normal team bus) pulls up outside the team's motel on a random TnUI motorway. Jeff Jordan gets out, skips over some extras from that scene in Something About Mary and heads towards the motel. Kieran Davies follows him.

Kieran: Hey, Jeff, wait-up?

Jeff: yo yo yo muthf*cka!

Kieran: heh, hey dude, you like, totally pissed all over Mattigool man?

Jeff: yea boi, who da bomb?

Kieran: you are dude! like dude, nice goal man, you like, bust the net?

Kieran: Totally?

Jeff: yea

a voice appears from behind one of the bushes

Voice: Gentlemen...

Kieran: woah... dude its like... those shakey bushes are talking at me maan?

Jeff: hey... hey yo wat tha f*ck you prancin' around tryin to surprise my ass man, show yo f*ckin self boi!

A tall dark figure walks out of the darkness. He is dressed in an official looking uniform, and is doing his belt up.

Man: i... am Colonel Sanders of the TnUFBI

Kieran: Youre a sand tinnefooby?

Colonel Sanders: No numbskull! i said 'T.n.U.F.B.I. not 'Tnufbi', its an array of letters you fool!

Kieran: an array of whut?

Colonel: Letters! 'T.n.U.F.B.I.' stands for something very important!

Jeff: oh man, i think i know who it is

Colonel: Yes... excellent... you are aware of the TnUFBI's presence in this country of ours... you are aware of our unweilding mercy upon all people everywhere...

Jeff: yo tell me about it maan.... your a statistician

Colonel: ....excuse me?

Kieran: oohhh no maan! those statisticalylyls guys who have lots of letters instead of names... oh maan we're like, tooootally f*cked if he starts talking numbers at us maan?

Colonel: NO you imbeciles! i'm from the Total and Utter Federation of Big Ivicerators!

Jeff: shouldnt it be 'Evicerate'?

Colonel calming himself down: it doesnt matter for you anyway.... for you.... the score is over... prepare.... to.... die....

Kieran: hooly shiit maaan?!

Another man walks out of the bushes, holding a piece of paper in his hand and coughing politely. He is also doing his belt up.

Other Man: Gentlemen....

Kieran: ooohhh maan! its another statistic ballistic totally f*ckeroony guy!?

Jeff: FREEZE MUTHAF*CKA OR I'LL GET REJISTANIAN ON YOUR ASS!!

Other Man: relax gentlemen... i do not wish to harm you, i am here to save you

Michael: Hey Alex... calm down... its ok..... but i'm afraid i cant let you eviscerate those Audioslavians

Colonel: what??!?! why!??!

Michael waving a piece of paper in front of the Colonel's face: I'm Micahel Green, the beauraucrat (ooc: yes i know, shut up :P) from the TnUI government.

Colonel: Youre a beautoricrat?

Kieran: dude... what did you think he was, a sponge?

Colonel: well actually ye.... hey shut up!

Kieran: heh like... dude

Michael: this... this piece of paper Alex... says that the Audioslavians have diplomatic immunity for this world cup.

Colonel: What??? Why? But.......

Michael: The Audioslavians were close to realizing what it was you did with half of there World Cup 11 team, and we cant risk them finding out.

Colonel: Why not? WHY NOT? Audioslavia *spit* are a big country, but our weapons program and our army are much in expanse of theirs! If they started a war with us, we could evicerate them from the face of the earth! It would be beautiful! Our nuclear weapons program is one of the most advanced in the earth! And with that... and our army of slaves we could finally defeat the 'slaves!!!!!!

Michael: well yeah, but its not that that worries us

Colonel: what is it then?

Michael: We import lots of lesbian porn from there, and they threatened to stop trade if their players were involved in PAMIZANS like they were last time

Colonel: PAMIZANS?

Michael: Pseudo-Accidental Mass-Insurrection for Zany Audioslavian NationStaters

Colonel: damn.. damn damn damn..

Michael: so you see Colonel Alexander Sanders... we cant let you kill those 'slaves. Youre free to go you two.

Kieran: like, thanks man

Jeff: yo i'm gone already.... motherf*cking retarded retards

the two walk up the steps of the motel and dissapear from Colonel Sanders' sight.

Colonel: I'll get you Kieran and Jeff.... if its the last thing i do....

Michael: so anyway... i do believe it was my turn as the butch....

Colonel: Right you are Michael

the two walk up the to the bushes and disappear from common decency's sight

To Be Discontinued.........

Heh. Seeing this Cup is so small and I'm able to read thru all/skim the RPs, I think I might add an award for the best RP, probably a few extra points to your ranking.

Congrats Audioslavia!

...and the glass swan is being handed to the ASholes Captain. He's lifted it above his head and is shaking it vigorously. Oh my! He's dropped it, it's shattered into a million pieces. The ASholes bus has just ploughed its way across the field, collected the team and driven away at top speed. I'm sure that's something we won't forget in a hurry.

'Slavia Slaughter 'Water
Audioslavia become inaugral Under 21 champions

Just three short months after the side spectacularly failed to lift the World Cup itself, the youth of the nation took the U21 championships as a consolation prize.

In a final being staged in the 3/4 full TnUI national stadium, the 'slaves played out a solid performance against a less experienced but nevertheless dangerous Clearwater team. It was a match with a little history behind it too. Audioslavia and Clearwater have met four times in full internationals, with both sides winning twice, with the last Clearwater defeat of Audioslavia almost costing the 'slaves a place in World Cup 10.

This time round, the 'slaves looked a lot more comfortable. Already having come through the hardest half of the draw, the 'slaves put a goal in after quarter of an hour after Jeff Jordan skipped past two players on the wing and crossed for Phil Greene to finish at the far post.

The second goal came on the hour, as Herald and Parker played some clever inter-play on the edge of the box, before Parker teed the ball up for Greene to score his second goal of the game.

Clearwater replied late on through a strike from the number eight as Audioslavia's defenders tired, but the team held on until the final whistle.

As the whistle blew the coaching staff lept off the bench and ran onto the field, pilling on a group of players who were already celebrating.

Its the first medal the 'slaves have ever one, not counting a losers medal in WC12 and a 'Worst... Team... Ever...' award in WC5.

I've been Jeremy Jaffacake, g'nite bitches
