It is my pleasure to announce that Mr. Max Barry will be participating in a question and answer session, LIVE! That's right, you now have a chance to ask the author of Jennifer Government and NationStates about his current work, upcoming work, and anything else that you may want to know. The chat will be hosted on the regular Nationstates IRC channel (see below), and will also include many of the NS mods, if there is anything that you may wish to know from them. Your task, if you choose to accept it, will be to come up with some good questions! But please, keep them serious! Watch this thread for a final date and time!

OFFICIAL TIME ANNOUNCED
January 29th
1900hrs US Central Standard Time.
See link for more times http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?day=29&month=1&year=2004&hour=19&min=0&sec=0&p1=64'

Note: You will need to join #nationstates_Q&A as well. This is the channel where you will post questions. The mods in this channel will select people to ask their posted question to Mr. Barry. A full log of the chat will be available after the event takes place.

Why isn't this an announcement? :)

Yeah, that's a good point. All the other forums get it as an announcement - even NS2. :?

This time is yet to be confirmed

buuuut we're looking at 8pm American EST on the 29th of January. That's about 48 hours away from now.

See here for your local time:

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?day=29&month=1&year=2004&hour=20&min=0&sec=0&p1=179

This time will suit mainly Nth/Sth American and Australasian players. If all goes well we'll have another one later at a time that better suits our European players.

For those of us who cannot be there but are interested in the event, is it possible a transcript could be posted in the forum after the fact?

Should be possible. Several channel residents log the channel and could copy it over. If I'm able to be online when it happens, I'll log it.

I will post an official log after the event. I will try and clean it up a bit for readability.

Cool! Now, even if we can't 'be there' we will get to see what was said. Thanks! :D
