With the conclusion of WWIX (it died away) I would like to start an entire new forum just for World War X (using proboards). Thus implying that it wouldn't be temporary but an entire network of GOOD RP'ers who will just use the boards for WWX. In other words, a side board to NationStates, which I can reach from anywhere.

So if I can get a list of people and it exceeds 20 or 30 people I will take the time to make the forums.

Here's out it will work. Each nation takes control of a country on a modern map of the earth. I will take Spain. Using the NationState population stats we will use our NS nations to RP under the name of the RL nation we take control of... in other words, me being Spain, would be called Spain, but would have the stats of the Macabees.

Well if you choose the United States you would also receive all of its territories, including the Virgin Islands, Guam, Puerto Rico, etc... But only one nation can be used.

Well, diplomacy works into the game. It's not really world war as you saw it in WWI or WWII...its more of the world goes in and out of war with each other, the ultimate reasoning being the aquisition of land.

This is a "2004" RP...in other words the Soviet Union broke up 13 years ago (1991), hence nobody can choose the USSR.

This is the breakup of nations that ppl might choose, but don't exist any longer:

USSR - Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Moldova, Ukraine, Tajakistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakstan, Goergia, Armenia, Belarus, Turkmenistan

Yugoslavia - Macedonia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia

Alright here it goes.

Each nation claims a country in the RL modern Earth. Once the war begins we have a prolonged season of diplomatic ties and breaks, consequently war.

It's not a big, two sided war, which lasts 10 years. It's only called WWX because that's the name I gave it. It's just like a side line wargame in which we practice RP'ing and have a big fun string of diplomacy and ties.

I don't know how to explain it else. You just have to experience it. WWIX was fun, and since we'll have our own server for WWX it will be easier to follow.

OOC: Cyprus isn't in that great of a position once you include the Americas into the equation and have a fuller map than we did in WWIX.

I want a Peru or a Panama to step up... you don't have to be too involved, but I'd like one soon.

Just to make sure everybody knows, I'm Brazilia. :P I'm going to be reorganizing the country and its military to be somewhere between the size of RL Brazil and Tahar Joblis. This will be tricky and involves major reductions in the naval department, even if Brazil is one of the few countries to use aircraft carriers traditionally IRL, and has had a battleship (albeit not a very big one) in the past, and is currently working on a nuclear submarine project. The compromise will probably be rather formidable, but not quite as overwhelming as Tahar Joblis.

Looks like it to me. Sweden is listed as taken, and I've seen posting activity on the WWX board by Poland, Russia, Germany, and Denmark - you'll be in a busy neighborhood there.

Actually, Cactauria is/was the Phillipines, most of which are now under Chinese control, with the exception of Braziliaro held Samar. Italy, interestingly enough, claims to own the Phillipines.

There are plenty of other nations available though. We really need more in the -stans, Africa, and the Americas... check here (http://nswwx.proboards7.com/index.cgi?action=mlall) for the membership list on the board, and there's a thread labelled "list of participants" which shows which nations have been claimed.

Well... let's see, Russia has a major advantage in sheer land mass that could be considered "unfair" ... I created a separate Siberian state in WWIX... I've actually demanded independence for Siberia in WWX as part of negotiations between myself and Russia...

Those are both open, although I did see a Vietnam posting early on in WWX. Myanmar and Malaysia are also open right now.

Depends on the large nation. Siberia is really hard to support against invasion, but invaders also have to manage the same thing... and if they keep the rail system intact, that can help a great deal.

A medium large nation that's relatively roundly shaped with an extensive river/canal/rail system is another matter. Keep shape in mind - some nations, like Chile, are a little strung out. And mountainous.
