Ephraim.
Capsule Corporation's 3rd largest civilized world, 32,000 ly from Sol, in the Beta quadrant, and home to over 120 Million civillians, with only two Battlegroups stationed permenantly in orbit, and a few thousand troops on the ground.
It was your average day on Ephraim, with Capsule Corporation farmers going about their normal routines. The harvest had just come at all the Chlorophusion farms around that world, and many people were hard at work to get their cells extracted and processed for use in any number of Capsule Corporation products.... toys, water heaters, cars, weapons, starships, mecha, and everything else a universal power source could be used for. The stuff was almost like currency when it came to intergalactic trade, the one thing Capsule Corporation had a lot of that its friendly trading partners wanted and needed badly.
All this was protected by a planet whose surface had a few hundred weapons emplacements, with many more in construction, all used to reinforce those in orbit, in case an attack from one of their enemies was to come suddenly.
Aboard the CCSS Melchizedek, a prototype Armor-Class defense carrier in orbit, an officer suddenly began to panic.
Commander: "What is it, Lieutennant?"
Lt.: "Uhh... sir.. we are reading.. a very heavy mass of folds coming our way, I'm guessing somewhere in the hundreds..."
Commander: "What do you mean? Someone's coming?"
Lt.: "I would say more like a few hundred someones-"
Officer: "Commander, look!" someone said, pointing out the large window in front of them.

Nearly every ship of the armies of the Red Dragon was defolding in orbit of Ephraim. In total, 327 Capital ships.
Commander: "This can't be happening! Quick, call for backup, and get the planet's defenses ready, and put everyone down their under maretial law, get everyone safe! Contact the other Battlegroup and make sure they are seeing what we're seeing!"
Officer: "We are receiving a transmission..."
Commander: "...On screen."
Suddenly, one ship in the middle of the fleet was recognized... small, but glowing a screaming red.
On the screen, an image of the Red Dragon's host materialized.

In a multitonous dark voice, she spoke a language which no man ever wishes to hear, a language understood by all, a language that penetrated to the heart's own universal translater, pure evil.
"We can not allow that this planet be harvested for its power. You have been targetted for destruction. None will be spared."
With that, the transmission ended.
Lieutennant: "Sir, massive energy signatures again!"
Commander: "More folds?"
Lt. "No, Heavy Energy weapons! All similar to Farads!"
Commander: "Crap! Fire Fire Fire!"
Lt. "Too late! They're firing on The Planet!"

A rain of heavy artillery energy weapons, in combination with missiles of assorted high-yield warheads, rained down on the planet, nearly vaporizing the battlegroups in orbit and impacting the ground with insane force.

Peaceful cities........................ gone...

Homes of innocent civillians........ destroyed...

Stores of military equipment.... vaporized...

Great Structures........... toppled like houses of cards...

Streets thrashed apart...... Seas evaporated.....

No one was spared.... Not even the children....

The Melchizedek was the last ship that still had anything left after the first minute... the commander's last resort was to detonate his ship's chloro core... He reached for the console, limping out of his chair, but it was just too late. A beam of energy as wide the ship itself impacted and passed right through, tearing the ship apart at the seams.
