The time has finally arrived, comrades. After months of building up its forces, the VXian Military has mobilized and is amassing its forces on the western border, preparing to drive through Burma and into India. Little, if any, resistance is expected from the natives.

The 3rd and 4th Marine Armies, 1st Toxin Trooper Corps, 12th Grass Shadow Division, 6th and 8th Cobra Tank Divions, and 4th Sorcerer and 2nd Firestorm Artillery Divisions are already on their way towards the border and, eventually, capital, Delhi. A task force consiting of one aircraft carrier (the VXS Gamma-Ray), five destroyers, ten attack submarines, and three AEGIS AA support ships. In the event that any sort of strong resistance is met, 50 B-52 bombers and 75 B-10A Pythons are being kept on alert, ready to rush into the area in order to pummel those who would be our enemies into the ground.

It is a great day today, for us, comrades! We will be victorious!

The crew of the TJS Harrow Reef, docked in the port of Bombay, listened in astonishment to the news radio.

"An invasion force?"

Meanwhile, hundreds of miles away, the admiral of a large carrier group concluded negotiations with Sri Lankan officials, signing a very generous lease for portage, basing rights, and several large tracts of land.

"I'm pleased we could come to terms like this without having to blow up anything," he said to his aide. "I suppose the fact that they knew we could have turned half the island into a smoldering wreck may have influenced them, but I didn't even have to mention it. Not after the third overflight of our jets, at least."

The SAVXian forces have begun to drive through Burma and have almost reached the border of India. All units are under strict orders not to fire unless fired upon, and to first make vocal contact with any potential enemies. The naval task force has entered Indian waters and are prepared to support the ground forces if need be. We have word that Taharian forces may be in the region. We are attempting to confirm this, and will act accordingly.

Bombay Port Authority:

"Look, how about 50 crates of RPGs and a hundred crates of AK-47s then?"

"AKs are cheap. Fuel is expensive, tanker ships moreso."

"We'll throw in another 20 crates of TJAR-MX .22 cal assault rifles and another 10 crates of ammunition for each."

This offer seemed to be well considered, but then the Indian man hesitated.

"It's all we can spare, really."

"I'm not quite convinced..."

And so an assortment of small arms, anti-air missiles, munitions, and a half dozen mortars of Tahar Joblissan origin - or recently from Tahar Joblis and of ubiquitous origin, in many cases - passed into the hands of an Indian worried about the fate of his country, and the Tahar Joblissan fleet procured a supertanker for its support fleet in a hurry. It wouldn't solve the long term supply problem, but it was a start.

Bulletin from Indian Ocean Fleet Command to Cyprus Central Command Center:

Aerial reconnaissance and long range radar indicate major SVX naval activity in the region, and reports indicate that a large SVX army is active somewhere in Burma. It is unclear if their intentions are to secure India, halt east of it, or continue westward through Northern India to check the eastwards advances of Isolationist Peoples and Armacor.

SAVXian forces have reached the border of India. Burma has been especially cooperative with us and we thank them for it. The naval task force has stopped at some location few miles out from the shore bordering the city of Bhubaneswar. No aggressive moves have yet been made. Radar scans of the area do confirm the presence of Taharian forces, but we will avoid conflict with them. We now go live to forces in the field.

This is Colonel George Hallad of the 3rd Marine Army live with us today. Colonel, how do you think this situation is going to end up?

"Well, as you can see from our support weaponry, the Firestorms and Cobras and such, I think we've got at least the first few inroads into India secure whenever we do move. We currently have air reconnaissance of the area keeping a careful eye on it. If something looks funny, we're gonna decimate it. I think we're pretty ready to eradicate our enemies and take this place."

Do you think Taharian forces will intervene? They're said to control the island of Sri Lanka, and they may feel this move to be a threat to their position.

"Well, I can't say for sure. That's up to folks like General Ramel. My job here is to pummel the shit out of anything that shoots, no matter who or what it is. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've gotta get going."

Our forces are preparing to move in if the path is clear and no hostilities are evident. We will prevail, comrades! Wir über alles!

A scout group consisting of two teams of Ghost Shadows has been dispatched to check the area a few miles into the country. They are ordered snipe out anybody found with military-grade weaponry. They are also authorized to call in Firestorm barrages and gas strikes if need be. Fear not, families of our glorious soldiers. We will not throw any of their lives away with needless actions.

In other news, we are sending an ambassador to Largent in order to discuss and alliance that will benefit both of us greatly.

Our expedition team encountered minor resistance, but slaughtered it. This is a formal warning to any and all potential resistance in India: fight and die. Two small villages were hit by Firestorm barrages, thoroughly incinerating them. We are planning to test our Deviator gas on the next populated area that decides to put up a fight. We are not going to toy with these people, comrades. They will join us or fall before us.

The order has been given for our forces to enter cross the border and begin the trek towards Delhi, with the first stop being Bhubaneswar. Our naval task force is on standby to give support where needed, although so far the populace has been fairly compliant. They have been rewarded and thanked accordingly, as is our custom. The Allied States have maintained a reserve force for quick deployment to any area we deem under threat. This force was scheduled to be deployed to our campaign in Mauritania, but with the surrender of Atar it is no longer needed, leaving me with a light Naval force, two Brigades of Marines, and an entire Army Corps (The XVI Corps, 2 Mechanized Inf. Division, 2 Motorized Inf. Division, 1 Armored Division) free for operations.

If SAVX would sign an Alliance with us (I am allied with Largent as well), we would be more then happy to deploy the force to aid your campagin in return for an Alliance and Basing Rights.

The force is being loaded up and shipped as we speak (Arrival in about 1-2 RL days), it's objective is to secure Madras and Bangalore in Southern India, by way of an Amphibious assault on Madras, and an overland campaign to Bangalore with the possibility of detaching elements to race north to meet SAVX forces should they require assistance.

As to your forces, we are currently pushing into West Africa (Mauritania is where I am at the moment), if you have in your home forces a fast striking force, that can sustain itself in West Africa, then we would ask you to land it in Cameroon (the farthest south I intend to go, though Gabon is a possible target), with the objectives of securing that country, then moving Northwest to meet up with Allied forces movng Southeast at the cities of Nandi, Niamey, and Porto Novo in Niger and Togo. Of course securing the countries of Cameroon, Nigeria, some souther parts of Niger, and most of Southern Chad and the Central African Republic. Allied Forces will be securing Mali, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, the Ivory Coast, Ghana, and Burkina.

Our forces have arrived at Bhubaneswar and are initiating a temporary military rule of the city. Light resistance has been met along the way, and a few tanks were lost due to rear-end hits from RPGs. A number of soldiers have been wounded in battle, but only five losses have been reported. The enemy are confirmed to have lost approximately fifty men. The source village was found and we are preparing a test run with the Deviator gas. Results will be reported within a few hours.

Meanwhile, we have begun the mobilization of three regiments of Grass Shadows, one regiment of Ghost Shadows, and one regiment of Wet Shadows. They will be leaving a day in front of the main force being prepared. The goal is to neutralize hostiles on the target beaches of Cameroon. Assisting them will be three destroyers will cruise missile launchers, two AEGIS ships, four long distance landing craft to transport them, and a large transport ship, retrofitted with landing space in order to carry and allow operation of two Souix gunships for support of the Special Ops teams.

Leaving the next day will be the 1st Marine Army, a brigade of Toxin Troopers, two platoons of Cobra tanks, and one squad of VX-A2 missile tanks. They will arrive with the support of five destroyers and three AEGIS ships. They are planned to land well after the Special Forces have cleared a good place for them.

Success! The Deviator gas worked as planned, and we are preparing to manufacture and ship sizeable amounts out to our forces in the field. The enemy in the target village quickly killed each other off in the chemical-induced frenzy, according to our elite Toxin Troopers in the region. This is a glorious day for the Federation.

Darker news has come upon us in our first objective, however. The people of Bhubaneswar have turned on us in a surprise strike. We lost sizable quantities of Marines in the city, and numerous VXTTPS and Cobras were knocked out of commission. Worry not, comrades, for they will pay. We have retreated out of the city, killing as many as are seen along the way. Meanwhile, we have prepared a squadron of Pythons in Burma. They will shortly take off and head for the city with their deadly payload: bombs loaded with Sarin nerve agent. The enemies of our people will be crushed through any means necessary, with as little loss to our own forces as possible.

There is disturbing news, however. The enemy warriors are reported to be utilizing fairly high military-grade weaponry, as opposed to what can normally be purchased by civilians in this region. We suspect they are being armed by an outside power. We are currently investigating the reports. Mark my words, comrades, citizens of the Federation: we will reign. We will crush those who would dare be our enemies. We will prevail!

The Naval forces following it aren't as large as we would have sent if we had access to the Straits of Gibraltar, but it suits our needs. It is made up of the 7th Naval Division (1 King II class Battleship, 1 Athena class Light Carrier, 1 Des Moines class Heavy Cruiser, 1 Ticonderoga class cruiser (w/AEGIS), 2 Arleigh Burke class Destroyers (w/AEGIS), 1 Spruance class Destroyer, 3 Gearing class (Modernized) Destroyers, 1 FCS Ammo ship, 1 Oiler, 2 Wasp class LHD's) and elements of the 1st Submarine Flotilla (2 Los Angeles class SSN, 1 Sea Wolf class SSN, 1 Ohio class SSBN (Non-nuclear armament).

Memo, Commodore Stilkskin, Cyprus Command Center Marine Corps Logistics Abroad Section
CC: Indian Combined Fleet Command
Tracking continued supply requests made through separate channels and command dispositions, it is clear that munitions ranging from pistol ammunition to Coatl II 125mm anti-tank missiles, infantry systems up to and including Black Fly anti-air missiles and grenade machine guns, towed artillery pieces, mortars, and light amphibious tanks have been migrating from Sri Lanka at an alarming rate over what would appear to be a thriving black market in arms; this stands above and beyond earlier official trades of arms for other supplies, made due to shortages in the supply chain.

My suspicions that Indian partisan leaders have been lining the pockets of supply officers in the Indian and Pacific Fleets is particularly aroused by recent civilian sector requests for a grand total of 800,000 needler weapons*, which were filled two weeks ago, and requests for numerous copies (400 each) of "On War," by von Clausewitz, Sun-Tzu's "The Art of War," and then-Major Jessica Silvus's (Sr) famous dissertation on the tactics of Chinggis Khan and their application to light infantry and armor maneuvers, written after her extraordinary series of successes as ground commander in the Allanean War, in which she inflicted horrendous losses on a substantially larger and more heavily armed and armored force.

I demand an inquiry, accounting for this, and the cessation of unauthorized leaks in the supply chain of material which will be needed desparately elsewhere.

*See here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4650&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=200) for details on those and other weapons that might be leaking... I should say first Allanean War - I'd linky it, but the thread seems to have disappeared into the mists of time now. Suffice it to say that ground and air successes by the substantially smaller Tahar Joblissan forces were nothing short of phenomenal, although Pure Evil did more of the ground work by sheer brute force. (Of course, there was the small issue of my massive navy setting things up, but Major Jessica Silvus deserves a spot in the NS history books for her work on the ground.)

The city has been bombed. We will soon search through it for survivors and act accordingly. However, we expect to find very few, if any. The bombs utilize a mechanism that emits a powerful hypersonic wave, which causes most types of windows to shatter, allowing the Sarin better access into places that people may be residing. Due to the upexpectedness of the attack, and the nature of cities, we doubt that any sizeable number of enemy had a chance to seek shelter in time. However, we are keeping in mind the possibility that a resistance may still be present in the city and will use upmost caution in searching it.

Our Special Forces are currently in African waters. We expect them to reach the target destination in a matter of days, and the main force to land a day later, as planned.

In order to make an effort to constrict the black market supply of weapons to the rebels, we are employing a squadron of R-50 Owls, P-7 Sub Hunters, and A-100A Copperheads. They will scour the coastlines for activity and react accordingly. They are under orders to fire first, ask later if arms sales are visible. We will not allow the enemy any quarter, comrades. There has been a slight chance in plans for the landing in Africa. The target has been shifted from the coasts of Cameroon to Point Noire, Congo. The first group has recently entered the waters of Namibia, and is expected to reach Point Noire in about half a day. Operations will commence soon thereafter. Our forces have not had any incident since leaving our docks.

On the Indian front, the few survivors of the Bhubaneswar Sarin strike have all been captured or killed, with our forces suffering no losses. A small force will be left in the city until the little remaining Sarin has been cleaned out. We will then allow citizens back into the city until martial law. Our main force, however, is now being sent to Varanasi. So far, some light resistance has been met. Our losses have been minimal--virtually nonexistant--while the rebels' losses are mounting with every skirmish and raid they try to pull. Our forces will not fall into the traditional formations and tactics of most conventional armies. We will remain with our anti-guerrilla tactics as long as fighting continues in the region, as is our military tradition. We expect the resistance to sharply increase as we near Delhi, but for now it remains pointless and weak. We will prevail, comrades! Nothing can stop us!

Comminque to Commodore Stilkskin:
Equipment losses and redistribution have been traced to personnel associated with Lieutenant Colonel Martin of the 46th Tumen. Regrettably, Martin was unavailable for comment and is currently AWOL, along with 16 other members of the 46th Tumen.

Notes left behind in his personal effects indicate that he has been in regular correspondence with leaders of the Indian resistance, advising them to pull back and engage in light guerrilla sorties until a proper analysis of their operating tactics has been made.

Indications that Indian partisans have possession of several hundred Arjun main battle tanks of native manufacture and possibly as many as 400 assorted vehicles from our stocks up to and including TJAT-L3 light amphibious tanks and Edolian Centaur light battle tanks, and may begin major counteroffensives soon.

There is no indication yet that SAVX forces have taken notice of the apparent proliferation of needler (flechette) weapons into India.

After reports of conquest in Africa, we have halted our African group's movement and are reconsidering objectives, as we do not yet want to open hostilities against the main powers in the area.

Our forces have reached the city of Varanasi. Heavy resistance is reported, and our commanders are debating whether to fight it out and capture the city, or run a Scorched Earth tactic. Light tanks and other LAVs have made their presence known among the enemy forces, so we are dispatching a divison of Gauss tanks into the area to assist the Cobras. We are also shipping a fresh supply of missile launchers and ammuntion for them to our Marines in the field, as well as recently-made batches of Deviator gas, VX nerve agent, and Nitrogen-mustard fluid. Our Toxin Troopers are proving most effective against the enemy infantry. We are also considering whether to perform a test run of our Nanomites.

Our efforts to stop the proliferation of foreign weaponry into India have not been in vain. We have tracked and destroyed several supply groups already, surely limiting the rebels' capabilities, although we currently have little information on the situation. Wir über alles!

In a sudden change in strategy, our larger African naval task force, near the coast of Saudi Arabia, has turned around and is set to invade Pakistan within a matter of hours. This is being done in order to prepare a pincer on India and a build stronger force in the area. Our Special Forces group will remain at sea near the SnS territory until its services are required. Letter from Lt. Colonel Martin:

Dearest Friends and Fellow Officers,

It is my great pleasure to announce that I am off doing what we are supposed to be doing - defending the world against imperialist warmongers. These barbarians know no limits, but they will pay soon enough. I only ask that my fellows, whom I have left behind, support me in this endevour. Gas masks and chemical warfare suits in great numbers would be appreciated; they will taste their own medicine soon enough, but they have already dished out far too much of it.
In spite of their advantage of force, we bear the will of the people, and cannot help but win eventually, should we be supported. A handful of Blaze missiles in their headquarters, and they will rue the day they first gassed a village. Fight with me for justice, you bastards back in HQ. You know I'm in the right here, and you know you're wrong to sit on your behinds and make pretty noises without standing up to these brutes here! You have the power, use it upon them. With full NDOTJ backing of Indian partisans, the SAVX advance could be completely halted, at the very least turning this into a quagmire that costs them a hundred soldiers for every acre they take and try to hold onto.

Sincerely yours in justice, Lt. Col. Martin, 46th Tumen.

We have pushed into Pakistan. We have given them an offer that, if they allow themselves to be led by us peacefull, we will allow them to assist in the attack against India, knowing that this will be a sweet revenge for them. Even though we have not recieved any answer from the Pakistani government, several free-lance terrorist cells have reportedly already begun operations in India, taking advantage of the chaos in the region. This may foretell an agreement between our nations.

The resistance in Varanasi is holding its ground, albeit taking heavy losses while doing so. Their technology is no match for ours, comrades. We have suffered relatively low losses. We have deployed two battalions each of Grass and Ghost Shadows into the area. They will perform anti-guerilla tactics against the enemy guerillas, and some of the Ghosts have been assigned to capture or assassinate resistance leaders in Delhi.

With the threat of war in Africa, we have deployed five missile submarines and fifteen attack submarines into the area around Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Kenya, and such. They will only respond if the situation calls for it. We will not use our submarine-based WMDs as a first-resort in any case, unless the enemy does so first.

We have also made inroads into Malaysia and Indonesia, dropping paraforces and transporting larger vehicle numbers by sea.

Control of our African task force has been traded to SnS, in exchange for their Indian task force near Madras. We have used them to launch an assault on the city. The unexpecting city was taken off guard, and the resistance has quickly fallen. The civilians remaining are being compensated for any loss and thanked for their cooperation. We have already begun pushing South with that force and intend to take control of the shoreline bordering Sri Lanka immediately.

Meanwhile, our forces in the North have finally crushed virtually all of the resistance in Varanasi. The city has fallen to our control, and we are setting up a new rule in order to impliment law and order as soon as possible. The people here have been less cooperative, and are being treated in a responsive manner. We are hunting down any hiding resistance in the city and taking them prisoner for interrogation.

Our Shadow forces in the region have managed to sabotage numerous small counterstrikes and have begun work on utlizing tactics that kill the enemy's morale.

Our Pakistani group has been in negotiations with the government in that region. A potential agreement is being reached, allowing them almost complete autonomy under our control, as long a we have their cooperation where it is needed most and are allowed to tax the people as we tax our own. We think a peaceful agreement will be made very soon. Our forces there have, meanwhile, begun mobilization for assault on the Indian border and fortifications on the Iranian border. Hopefully, war there can be averted.

Our forces in Malaysia have been springing towards the capital, and have met little resistance, as the military presence there is weak and unprepared. We have killed very few, capturing most for the duration of the conflict. The Indonesian forces have been putting up a stronger fight, and our forces have halted a short distance from where they landed.

We have reached a peaceful agreement with the government of Pakistan, and have full access to their nation. We are now using forces from the area, refreshed by Pakistani troops, to attack India and drive towards Delhi. Terrorist activity has sprung up against Indian-controlled cities, much to our benefit. May Pakistan prosper.

Meanwhile, our northern Indian forces have begun a drive towards the city of Agra. Heavier resistance is being met, and progress is slow and more costly, but we are still gaining ground. Resistance against our forces attacking from Pakistan is minimal as the resistance has been caught off guard by this turn of events. They are on the verge of taking the cities of Jaisalmer, Srinagar, Chandigarh, and Shimla. We expect the resistance to pick up quickly, but we are taking full advantage of the current laxity.

Our forces in the south have taken the majority of the bottom of the Indian peninsula and are preparing to drive north into Bangalore in order to set up a line of defense against Fearful forces.

Malaysia has quickly fallen, and we are working on rebuilding the nation quickly in order to make it prosperous and able to help support the war elsewhere. We have reinforced our position on Indonesia with extra Cobra and Gauss tanks, Sorcerer Howitzers, and Marines, as well as Destroyer support. The carrier VXS Alpha-ray is also en-route to support the ongoing battles in the region. The Indonesian forces are putting up an admirable resistance, but they won't be able to hold us back for long, comrades. We will be victorious!

Meanwhile, we have sent a large naval task force to the mediterranean to assist our allies in the region. The numbers, for now, should be sufficient to help in any way needed.

Memo to Central Cyprus Command From the Indian Combined Fleet, 10:30 am Cyprus Time:
It has come to our attention that Lt. Col. Martin left with twenty canisters, individual weight 600 pounds, of compressed uranium hexafloride gas from our isotope separation plant. The possibility that he or Indian partisan leaders may use them in traps against SAVX forces in India or strap bombs to them and begin gassing forward SAVX compounds is horrorific. The enviromental, let alone the humane, repercussions of such are something I myself find queasy considering. Uranium hexafloride is, after all, one of the singularly most toxic and one of the singularly most corrosive substances known to humankind. The alleged Toxin Troopers may indeed find themselves shocked to realize that yellow stuff isn't mustard gas, and can eat through their protective gear - as is no doubt Martin's intent.

Communique from Cyprus Central Command to SAVX HQ:
It has come to our attention that Indian partisans may have secured sealed canisters of uranium hexafloride - which your scientific advisors will doubtless be able to explain is a substance that they themselves would be unwilling to weaponize due to the extreme hazard of attempting to contain. Should your forces in India come across canisters matching the photos enclosed, they are to be treated with utmost caution. We recommend that the mile-radius area be evacuated of all personnel, military and civilian, and Tahar Joblissan cleanup crews in Sri Lanka be contacted and told where and in what situation you have encountered one of these canisters.

Diary of Lt. Col. Martin:
Sometimes it seems difficult that we have managed to get this far. The modified Tomahawk missiles in the back of our trucks look Frankensteinian, with extra boost phases strapped onto them. Rajat has assured me that, of the 50 targets he has picked off of the map, at least 40 he's fairly certain are major weapons and chemicals factories of SAVX. I hope so. It seems a sure thing that SAVX barbarians will rush upon us in a vast horde on seeing the launches, so we have planned on deserting the trucks and setting the bombs to detonate fifteen minutes after the last Tomahawk is launched. Even now, I can hear Rajat ordering final checks and beginning the launch sequences... I must go now. The devils will pay.

Radar Station, Sri Lanka:

"We're picking up multiple missile launches from SAVX held eastern India. Get the Admiral on the horn now, prepare missile strikes, and let's get ready to pound those bastards!"

Radio Transmission from Sri Lanka to SAVX:
"What do you think you're doing? We're picking up multiple launches from your zone of Indian control, and-" Break in transmission.

"Wait a minute... those missiles aren't heading towards us... they're heading... further east?"

Transmission continues:
"Sorry, never mind, you didn't just launch those at us." Transmission ends.

"Speed profile and flight path ... haven't quite got it nailed down, sir, not sure what kind of missiles these are."

The radar team, joined shortly by a small crowd of curious Tahar Joblissans, watched the fifty missiles arrow straight for population concentrations, suspected military bases, and several of what might have been factories. They had no idea that twenty of those missiles were carrying an unusual payload indeed.

People of SAVX, a dark day has fallen upon us. The rebels in India somehow aquired sizeable quantities of the compound uranium hexaflouride. They have already used it on our soldiers and have attacked various positions throughout our federation by means of missile strikes. The results have been devastating. Thousands have died, and our industrial production has been cut by 40%. We know the feelings you have, sadness, anger, even rage. And we, comrades, we share these feelings with you. And we will have our revenge. We did not foresee the use of our WMD stockpiles, but thus such an event has come to reality. Already, we have begun the sequential complete obliteration of Indian cities not under our control, with our daisy-cutter bombs and fuel-air explosives. Already, the cities of Bhopal and Khajuraho have been annihilated by our munitions.

They will pay, comrades; we will have our revenge. As it is, we believe that there is a far larger supply of uranium hexaflouride still under rebel control. We are pouring every resource we have into the goal of finding and securing these stockpiles. They can't hide from us, comrades. Wir über alles!

--Transmission to Cyprus Central Command, from VX Strategic HQ--
We must wonder how the resistance may have had access to such a substance. We are fully aware of the danger of it, and have our own means of cleaning it as well, but we are shocked that such people could ever have access to such a compound. Our own supplies are kept under the strictest of surveilance, and outside parties are never allowed within fifty miles of storage sites.

We ourselves would never dream of utilizing radiological munitions against any enemy, for which I feel the world can be thankful, as the lasting effects of radiatioactive substances on the environment are far too devastating to even consider the use of such weapons. We now have no reason to respect the lives of the resistance, and will treat those still fighting in a relative manner.

Your actions, or the actions of your subordinates, have rendered your lives forfeit. You have two days (OOC: 9PM US Central) to either surrender your forces or leave the nation. If no such action is taken by the end of the two days, your capital will be leveled. There is no room for negotiation. You have been warned.

OOC: Actually, the uranium hexafloride is U-238 uranium hexafloride - industrial byprodruct of separating uranium isotopes - and not very radioactive, as a matter of fact. However, it and the chemical compounds it produces through reaction with other substances found in probable target areas are all extremely toxic. (Many florine compounds, florine itself, uranium, and most uranium compounds are all highly toxic - these last two are why depleted uranium ammunition is considered a WMD by the UN IRL.)

Tahar Joblis has publicly condemned both the missile strikes and SAVX's brutal, oppressive reaction to them, and issued a retraction stating that "Initial reports from our radar station that the missiles were launched by SAVX were erroneously based on their position of launch, lying as it did in the middle of the SAVX controlled portion of India."

Private Communique:
Our investigations point to an inside job on obtaining the UF6; unfortunately, most of those responsible appear to have gone AWOL. Security in the Sri Lankan uranium refinery has since been tightened. Our sincere apologies for this travesty... however, it has crossed our minds here at Cyprus Central Command that SAVX forces' use of chemical warfare against the most casual of resistance may have had some part in the matter.

Our forces are converging on the remaining cities, and are currently holding Delhi at seige. We allow the resistance leaders one more day to surrender or flee the country, being in a generous mood. However, there will be no more opportunities after this day. If they are still in the city by the end of this time, we will commence Firestorm barraging.

In Indonesia, after the setback caused by the Indian strikes, we have halted our forces after conquering the first island. It is likely that we will not attempt to control any others, as we need to concentrate resources elsewhere.

We have begun moving into China and have already captured the city of Nanning, Kunming, and Haikou. Our conquest here will be limited, as we are allowing our ally Largent to control the majority of the nation.

OOC: No, I am not RPing the resistance leaders. That's up to someone else, if anyone else cares.

OOC: Since there's no use to make another thread for a side war with Austrilia then I'll just make one long post here as sort of a general review of what happened in Australia.

IC:

After the Macabean navy dropped off Shield and Sword forces in the Phillippines Heerarmees Wellington and Marloborough continued south to Austrilia. Then, the convoy split into two one heading towards New Zealand and the other towards Australia.

As Wellington landed in NZ the beaches began spitting fire killing A Company of the 312th Infantry Division instantly. But slowly the heeresarmee made its way to the exits by the next hour and opened the roads to the northern main island of the nation. NZ forces, quick to create a cohesive army in the south left the island to be defended by the Maori tribesmen living in these parts of the world. Feeling abondoned the Maori, once fiercely independent, surrendered to the Wellington army. Another consequent landing on the southern army was met without resistance although a fierce counter attack ensued for the next four days which was soundly defeated by a combined arm stiff defense based in major cities on the north. Wellington (the capital) surrendered soon after the NZ army and navy surrendered six days later after another last ditch attempt to push Army Wellington from the sea. Heeresarmee Wellington is to stay as an occupationary force until the 1st Security Division arrives from Spain.

Heeresarmee Marlborough landed in Austrilia taking Sydney and several other eastern board cities without much of a fight. Resistance turned stiff as the army continued inland but as the force pushed itself about 400km from the sea (three days later) most of the Austrialian army was sorrounded in a gigantic kessel and subconsequently surrendered thereafter to avoid a massacre. Following this debacle the Austrilian government surrendered and was granted semi-autonomy although it was still part of the new found Valencian Empire. Marlborough is to set out back to Spain with Wellington once the 2nd and 3rd Security Divisions land in the next three weeks.

OOC: I suppose I might as well too, it would look a bit odd in my thread

IC:

The two divisions from the XXVII Corps and their accomapnying Pacific Battlefleet, being transported by The Macabees, made good their landing on Luzon, quickly taking the city of llagan. From there the Mechanized and Infantry division spread out, the Infantry taking Laoag and Vigan, while the Mechanized took Baguio. Heavy resistance was finally organized by the Filipinos outside the city of S. Antonia and Quezon, both of which were deemed necessary to take Manila. The two divisions got bogged down by the native resistance, and it wasn't until the ANS Rocroi the Pacific battlefleets fleet Carrier and the Pac Fleets heavier ships were deployed to the Philippine Sea (The had been staying at the new base at llagan) that finally the Filipinos were forced back into Manila. A cross bay operation by a brigade of Marines, coastal shelling, and a landward attack by the 25th Mechanized, took Manila less then a week later.

The 14th Infantry easily took Batanoas in the south with most Filipino forces in Manila, and cutoff the retreat of the main Filipino forces. With the surrender of the bulk of their Regular forces, little more resistance was put up to the Allied forces, and Luzon was declared secure two weeks later. Several islands declared their allegiance to the Allied local government, with the exception of Mindanao and Palawan. While the island of Palawan was allowed to remain independent, however agree to never attack the Allied States, and allow basing rights, the island of Mindanao had to be forced to accept the new government.

The 23rd Mechanized again made an amphibious attack, capturing Zamboaga in under a week, and with the support of the Marine detachment and elements of the fleet, Cagayan fell 3 days later. The elements of the fleet supporting the Mindanoa assault are blockading Davao, while the 23rd Mechanized is encircling the city, the last bastion of resistance. The Infantry division is currently spreading itself out in garrison duties, while the rest of the Pacific Battlefleet is assigned to be ready should the need arise to support the SAVX moves in China.

OOC: I was talking with IP over AIM and apparently there is... he has an operation headed there, and the map route he's using is a long sight shorter... he said he'll clarify in the morning.

OOC: ok, here's the thing. I've been preparing a huge force to take to Australia, going by the time scale of 1 RL day = 1 NS week (which I thought was pretty much the norm here). I haven't paid close attention to everyone else's threads, so when I saw Macabees on the map have all of Australia and NZ in less than one RL day, it just doesn't make sense to me. My force was currently enroute (posted to go somewhere else, but that might change, as they are currently by Sri Lanka/Indian Ocean area) with a significantly shorter route, yet Macabees gets there first and conquers 2 nations in less than 1 RL day?? Sorry, but that just doesn't make sense to me as how that could happen. That's way to big of an area to conquer so fast. If you want to talk about it on AIM or something, contact me @ bjgmantz on AOL. Or I guess we can talk here, too. But I still think that Macabees is wrong on RPing that so fast.

as i understand it, he sent forces there at some point in the weekend (i wasnt here at all so the map wasnt updated at all), then as no-one else expressed an interest in it he assumed that over time he will grab the lot... if you have a fleet then post it (i cant remember where he posted it, probably the portugal one) and point it all out...

He did send it about a day before, and I believe he is working on a 1 RL day = 1 NS Year, though I thought 1 RL day = 1 NS Month or week would work better.

But his conquering was I'll admit a bit too fast (As was mine of the Philippines, which is why I am still rping pockets of resistance there, like Davoa), and you should probably get a large chunk of Australia
17-11-2003, 20:22
From what I read, the first mention of going after Austrailia he made was Sunday morning, whereas I didn't mention it by name but made the plans for an operation known on Saturday (is called Operation New World, kinda a hint but nothing substantial)

I know of very few NS players that use that ratio. It is somewhat unfair, since mostly the norm that I know of is 1 NS week = 1 RL day. It gives him too much of an unfair advantage if his time-continum is not made known to others, as is the case here. I have no problem with him using that ratio, but if he does then my forces would have been there for at least several months before he would have gotten there.

OOC: Take this argument to the OOC or index threads, please.

The resistance leaders have given us no reply or action in accordance with our directive. We have commenced Firestorm battery of Delhi, specifically in the governmental sectors. Those sectors are going up in beautiful napalm flames, comrades. This is a lesson they will not forget. We have conquered the Delhi region. India, with the exception of Fearful's section, is now ours!

Meanwhile, we have finalized our conquest in China. Now we shall begin the restructuring of our Federation, emplace a more suitable form of law into the new regions, and consolidate our forces. We may need them again very soon.

Mining and buildup up defenses has begun in Pakistan, the southern region of India, and parts of China that are under imminent threat. We have also begun the production of fresh naval forces, with a new aircraft carrier expected within a month, among others. We have also finished the development and begun production of the M-52A3VX Behemoth Heavy Tank, and will be deploying it to high-alert zones soon.

With the sudden loss of our ally Largent, we have quickly mobilized our forces throughout China and taken the land that was once his. We are leaving Scandinavia open for the rest of the world to take, as it serves no good strategic value for ourselves. We have also asserted control over the Philippines in order to replace the former Largentian control there. An invasion of Taiwan has begun, with heavy airstrikes preceeding the invasion forces. So far there have been few losses on either side, and we are negotiating with the government there.
