Imperial Directive No.2

Soldiers of the glorious Macabean Wermacht, you have probably noticed the return of Luftflotte I to bases at Torrente and Liria. No matter, I have ordered your commanders to turn you back. You are to immediately, in a period of no more than 6 days, fill up a line, roughly 350km long, running from Villarreal to Cuenca, to San Clemented to Albacete, to Javea.

You will soon be joined by even more comrades in arms. The Kriegsmarine is also returning to its bases at Valencia and Sagunto.

For commanders, the reasons of this is an overextended unprotected flanks. The speed in which we could have covered it did not match up with the speed our enemies would have taken to destroy much of our armies. Therefore we order the return, until a more orthodox plan of attack is produced.

Possible future targets remain the same, Madrid, Barcelona, and the Gibraltar. An attack on Barcelona is yet a distant possibility since we are working on an alliance between us. Madrid also seems a distant target since yet another alliance is waiting to be brewed up.

Imperial Directive No. 3

Forces of the Macabean Wermacht prepare for war! Your training will not prove invincecible for the upcoming operation!

Operation Mercury

Heeresgruppe A is to ultimately sieze and hold the Gibraltar as well as Andalucia, Heulva, Algarve (Portugal) and Alentejo (Portugal).

The 1st Heeresarmee and the 2nd Heeresarmees, along with the 1st Panzergruppe are to advance through the Albacete-Antequera high way. The 3rd Heeresarmee and the 2nd Panzergruppe are to advance along the Tomelloso-Lebrija highway. Upon arrival they are to link up in a line running from Sanlucar to Malaga, thereby cutting off the Gibraltar without actually touching CHS territory.

By then air fields at Lebrija, Montellano, Moron de la Frontera and Peunte Genil, already technically in Macabean hands, after the fruitless advance of 15 days ago, would be full of Luftflotte I.

One day after D-Day is to begin, H-Hour being 0500 hours. The 30,000 artillery guns are to pound the peninsula for an hour while Luftflotte I is to give them hell for 4 hours straight. Gibraltar City is to be completely carpet bombed and destroyed by a contigent of 1,000 B-52's protected by 500 SS-102 fighters.

Under this cover the entire Heeresgruppe is to advance into the peninsula destroying all opposition before CHS is to transport units across the straits.

I give you 7 days to complete the entire occupation, before I begin to sign a treaty with CHS, which I hope will work. If not Luftflotte I is to pound the northern tip of Morroco and slowly work thereway southward.

Your rear flank will be protected by units of Heeresgruppe B occupying Andalucia and southern Portugal.

Intelligence
Aerial recon. has seen massive fortifications off the coast of Gibraltar. Therefore I have put priority for 1,000 dive bombers and 500 B-52's protected by 700 fighters to pound those until they are captured or destroyed.

Your colony of the Gibraltar poses as an immediate threat to our survival, thus we will officially declare war on your nation. You can consider it being immediate.

To not further prolong the war between us I urge you to drop claim to Gibraltar and conclude a peace treaty.

OOC: The troops are in positions (I wrote this only about 30 minutes after Directive 3 but this is really supposed to be for about 6 o'clock Pacific Time)

IC:

At 0450 hours 30,000 guns were loaded by their crews, with their shells. Sergeants ran back and forth yelling their men into position, as the armor were lined up in columns and rows.

Above them, the entire Luftflotte I were flying towards their targets.

Then it struck 5.... 30,000 guns belched flames into the skies, as in the distance the sound of destruction could be heard. With most of the enemy armies in Afrika, the Wermacht expected little resistance.

The 3 Heeresarmees and 2 Panzergruppes struck south towards their targets knocking out border outposts. The sheer firepower of over 2 million army men and 3,000 tanks was more than enough to overwhelm the enemy, not to mention the thousands of assault artillery and the 30,000 fixed artillery guns.

As an update to you, just so you know where Allied forces are and what flanks may or may not be exposed. I have extended my control, after securing the immediate area around Barcelona, I launched an amphibious operation, securing the Belearic Islands. Following this, a duel movement was launched, using my II Army Corps (3 Infantry Divisions, 2 Mechanized Inf. Divisions) , and IV Marine Division to secure highways and railways into Metropolitan France, then securing Toulouse (II Army Corps). The IV Marine Division, under the support of the Arras battlegroup, 3rd Naval Squadron, and the 2nd Transport flotilla made landings around Marseilles, securing the city and harbor and taking control of travelways to Toulouse.

Following this the I Marine Division, supported by the Balearic Battlefleet made landings on the Algerian coast and secured Oran and Algiers. Immediately the IX Army Corps (2 Mechanized Inf. Divisions, 1 Armored Divisions, and 2 Infantry Divisions) marched across Algeria, and is encroaching on Tunis. In Marseilles, the major components of the IV Marine Division loaded back up and with the Arras Battlegroup and 3rd Naval Squadron, along with elements of the 1st Mediterranean Battlefleet are at the moment landing on Malta just outside of Valetta.

Should your enemies on Gibraltar put up stiff resistance we have significant Naval Forces we can send to help you, and have the III Marine Division available for duty as well. Also, should your enemy on Gibraltar gain allies in the East, we can ensure no Naval traffic will pass from the Eastern Mediterranean or Black Sea.

500 Kisnesian F-22s are in the area, and have engaged Macabees forces. 1,000 more are on their way from Kisnesia.

5 double-carrier battle groups are in the area, and have begun a full-scale counterattack. 10 more should arrive within RL 2 hours.

OOC: Macabees, do we have a Full Alliance (In which case, even if I went to war for no other reason then land or pride, you go to war with me against that nation) or a Defensive Alliance (In which case you would only go to war against a nation that invades my soveriegn territory)
The Macabees

posting this here in case you don't see it in SAVX's thread.

OOC: ok, here's the thing. I've been preparing a huge force to take to Australia, going by the time scale of 1 RL day = 1 NS week (which I thought was pretty much the norm here). I haven't paid close attention to everyone else's threads, so when I saw Macabees on the map have all of Australia and NZ in less than one RL day, it just doesn't make sense to me. My force was currently enroute (posted to go somewhere else, but that might change, as they are currently by Sri Lanka/Indian Ocean area) with a significantly shorter route, yet Macabees gets there first and conquers 2 nations in less than 1 RL day?? Sorry, but that just doesn't make sense to me as how that could happen. That's way to big of an area to conquer so fast. If you want to talk about it on AIM or something, contact me @ bjgmantz on AOL. Or I guess we can talk here, too. But I still think that Macabees is wrong on RPing that so fast.
