Yes, you heard us right! This alliance is meant to be the last alliance needed by all sentient creatures in the universe! That is our only objective. NO MORE FIGHTING! NO MORE CIVIL WARS! NO MORE SUFFERING!

All you have to do is give up your rights as a sovereign nation and join the Ur-Quan hierarchy as either a Battle Thrall, or a fallow slave!

The constitution of the Alliance is as follows:

Article #1:
You can NEVER, on ANY circumstances, leave this alliance.

Article #2:
You WILL use the Ur-Quan law system, and only it. Using a local system is prohibited and thought as an act of high treason. Such an act will mean your immediate termination by other Battle Thralls.

Article #3:
Your civilization shall be under Ur-Quan supervision. Any acts the Ur-Quan deem as treasonous are of course prohibited. Look at Article #2 for closer details on what will happen to you if this Article is broken.

Article #4:
ANY attempts to wage war against other Battle Thralls/fallow slaves abiding the laws of this alliance are FORBIDDEN. Any acts of aggression against a fellow Battle Thrall/fallow slave shall be met with deadly force, just as stated in Article #2.

Article #5:
Anyone who is not a Battle Thrall/fallow slave is fair game, unless they surrender, and choose between two options: to become a Battle Thrall or a fallow slave.

Article #6:
If you have any opinions about the said Articles, keep them to yourself. Even questioning these Articles will be considered as a treasonous act.

Article #7:
Trade and diplomacy between Battle Thralls/fallow slaves are prohibited and deemed as acts of treason, see Article #2 for more details. Communication on the other hand is not.

Article #8:
Knowledge on possible acts of treason and other unlawful acts must be given to proper Ur-Quan authorities. Failure to do so might spell doom to your whole species.

Scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, the Navy has outraged the international community by sinking a boatload of refugees to prevent them reaching the shore, citizens can be frequently spotted going about their business stark naked, and citizens are barcoded to keep track of their movements. Crime -- esp
ecially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Rogue Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah's national animal is the Talking Pet, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the ResUnit.

Please stop. OK? Just don't do this. Regardless of what you may thing, it's not cool to purposely aggravate people. I think that you're probably a good guy, and judging by this post, an intelligent one. But think: you know that people aren't going to take kindly to you posting something 'ridiculous' like this, so why do it? Maybe you're pissed off with some of the people in here who take this too seriously, or the ones who reply with mispelled words like 'faggot' in their responses. But still, please consider those of us who are trying to make this a better place, one in which we don't have people purposely trying to aggravate others. Come on. I know you're a smart guy, you're better than this. Please don't start more fights like this one, put that energy and creativity into a good RP, because I don't doubt you are capable of making one. And if you don't want to participate like that in this game, then please don't ruin it for the rest of us. Respect the fact that some of us are here to have fun and take part in something we enjoy and are good at as well. Like, you can't use your normal Quake clan antics around here and get away with it. And in a war, it seems that most people here tend to call "godmod" or "ignore" the first time the other side brings something a bit unbelievable to the warzone.

Let's just say that thinking you're a better RPer than someone else actually makes you a worse RPer than you might have been. Some people seem to think that they're absolutely great RPers, and because of that, they must be bringing new players down, and each other as well. I haven't actually seen a normal war that would've been fought to the finish yet by two consenting parties. Some "I'm going to stop playing anyway" wars are of course excluded.

And there's still something I must say: Having an old nation DOES NOT automatically mean that you are a good RPer. This is not directed at anyone in particular.

I've already stopped doing it, but still... The idea is that the Battle Thralls help the Ur-Quan subjugate the other species. And as one could figure, there's an INFINITE amount of new species out there to conquer. So, basically, the mission would take forever.

I haven't actually seen a normal war that would've been fought to the finish yet by two consenting parties. Some "I'm going to stop playing anyway" wars are of course excluded.

And there's still something I must say: Having an old nation DOES NOT automatically mean that you are a good RPer. This is not directed at anyone in particular.

There's effort, and there's ability. The two work hand in hand, but are not the same thing. But understand what I'm trying to say: something sarcastic like this is what's also helping in a big way to bring everyone down, possibly moreso than saying you are a good RPer. It only stimulates the easily angered and quick to flame to reply with some obscene response. Now, tell me, how does that help us at all?

It keeps the flamers out of more serious threads. Though, the whole point of the thread was to make a parody about some of the brand spankin' new "serious" alliances. This thread will be soon forgotten, like so many before it. It won't *help* the community, but it at least the point was brought up. Free speech does not always help the community, but it is a nice thing to have around.

I'm really tired, and my thoughts are starting to go into many different directions, so don't wonder if my replies seem to... Make massive paradox-sorts when compared to the earlier ones. It's just what happens when I'm tired.

Same thing happens to me. Well, I am glad you can understand where I am coming from. And I can very easily see why you have posted this. And I can see that it was with the best of intentions, like a moth-light or something. But let me ask: Do you think that, if this thread hadn't been started, they would be out flaming everyone else, or would be doing something constructive with their time because there would be no one to flame? Maybe if there were less threads like this, people would get less used to flaming and stop it, because they would be able to respect the good threads for being good. I'm just saying that sarcasm and bad feeling only generates more of the same, when it's possible that it was never necessary to generate any in the first place. Maybe you see what I mean?

Yes, yes, of course I see what you mean. Flamers will find things to flame regardless, some people are trolls *everywhere*. Almost no real flaming occured here, anyway. Only some minor instances of it came up. It might have had something to do with ADK willingly being a Battle Thrall... ;) Who would dare to flame someone who's backed up by someone else with a population of over a billion? Apparently, not many. :)
