Open tour of Haraki (Peaceful RP) - Page 3
Chris looked around. "There are other things in space we will be viewing later, but for now, we will be heading back down to Earth. Everyone, please, back to the Icarius."
Raui gratefully reboarded the Icarius looking forward to once again being back on Earth.

Nathi nods, and keeps with Jaime, though in passing, pats Raui's shoulder in a quiet, comforting manner.
Chris leads them back to the Icarius, to find Shrike chatting and laughing with another man, in the same casual uniform as Shrike and his crew were in. Seeing the approaching group, SHrike straightened up. "Erm ... This is Captain Harry Sharp of the Osiris."
Sorry I missed a lot. I have no care to stay up late in the early hours of the morning(EST) to post anymore. I feel like sleeping in...lol.
Can someone fill me in, and Haraki, I am sorry to tell you but those missiles of yours were actually stealth ICBMs...which is impossible...but...heh...

Nathi nods in acknowledgement, watching the situation closely, as always.
OOC: It's called 'technology'. Plus, after all you've seen of him, do you really trust Chris to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?
IC:
Jaime chuckles. "Sharp, nice to see you again."
Sharp turns at his voice and grins broadly. "Jaime, you old bastard! What's up?"
OOC: It's called 'technology'. Plus, after all you've seen of him, do you really trust Chris to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?
Good point, after all, there is strength in secrecy.
Raui nods to the new captain using all his faculties to control his nerves.

Jaime and Sharp exchange several more words before Sharp suddenly excuses himself saying he has to get on with his patrol now that his ship's refuelled.

Nathi, of course, takes her seat next to Jaime.
(on sporadically - my cable service sucks today)
The Icarius lands quickly yet smoothly on the Alpha Omega runway, where two black jeeps are waiting to transport them somewhere else. Chris turns to the group as they disembark. "Ah ... I thought you might like to enjoy a showing at the Grand Haraki Theatre, inside Atherlon, as well as seeing the city."
"They have several theatres, and they can show a lot of shows at a moment's notice. Is there anything in particular you would like to see?"
"I can't say I'm familiar with Harakian theatre so whatever is popular right now would be a treat indeed." Raui smiles.
"Well, are there any plays or shows you've ever particularly liked? We could probably get them shown for you."

Nathicana arches her brow at all this, obviously intrigued.
"Theater? The stage? By all means, its been entirely too long. Treat us to what you will, my dear. I'm certain whatever you have to offer up will be wonderful."
"Well ... There are several shows I think you'd like," Chris says. "I haven't seen any of them, so I don't actually know what they're about, but they should all be good. Two are house showings, one's a travelling troupe. The Legend of Haraki, is a play set in old Haraki, clan time period. Thhat's about all I know. That one's a house showing. The Streets of Atherlon, that's another house showing, about bus drivers in Atherlon, and the travelling troupe is showing The Story of Life, a story about one man's life, from birth to death."
OOC: I'm gone for a bit.
Participants of this thread,
Please note my absence...
Yes, you can see that I have posted twice in the last five pages or so...
Well, I wont be able to continue till afternoon tommorow, I have a golf tournament I want to play well in. So just assume that Michelle keeps hitting on Eriksen and Victor keeps being the Type-A Personality he is.
I will try to be on once more tonight, for a brief time.
Hope to RP with you all shortly,

ic:
"Any and all would be pleasant, I think. Truly, I've no preference. I enjoy sampling culture from other nations. Find it enlightening."
OOC: I hate this forum...
IC:
Chris looks to the rest. James shrugs. "I ... ah ... manage to get out to see a lot of culture, and I must say, the only one I've not gotten to see is The Legend of Haraki, which is loosely based on the legends about the asamune and its sister sword. Must say, personally I'd rather not see what they've done to the legend."
Jaime ndos his agreement. "Yeah, true. I've managed to see The Story of Life, a long time ago. It's pretty good, but I'd really like to see Streets of Atherlon. From what I've seen, it looks fantastic."
James chuckles and nods. "One of the best ones I've ever seen, to be sure."

"Excellent. Then it's settled?" she says, looking to the rest.
Can't help but think just how ... appropriate the subject matter would be, she muses.
"I believe so," Jaime said. Chris and James nodded.
"Any objections?" CHris asked. There was a long pause...
"Umm...I object" said Victor. Everyone stared at him.
"Why?"
"Well...." he began sweating. "Take a joke!" Only he laughed, nervously though.
Jaime chuckled. So did Chris. "Then we're off," Chris said, beckoning the group towards the jeeps.
OOC: They're like black Range Rovers.
Jaime chuckled. So did Chris. "Then we're off," Chris said, beckoning the group towards the jeeps.
OOC: They're like black Range Rovers.
Man, we drive Mercedes G-55 AMGs in Ruhr. Much better than a Range Rover. Where is my car by the way? Can't Victor drive that? Much more power, much more practical than the Range Rover.
I have to say though, Range Rover has come a LONG way with their Luxury SUVs, can't beat Mercedes though....more power, more utility, LOOKS cooler.

As the groups filed towards their seperate cars, Jaime's phone vibrated ever-so-slightly. He picked ity up, not saying a word as he listened, then hung up. He nodded to Eriksen, who dropped back. Jaime moved beside him, and his mouth moved ever-so-slightly. Eriksen gave a tiny nod and moved off. Not a sound was heard.

Nathi arched her brow, eyes narrowing only slightly as she waited for Jaime.
What is that boy up to?
The two made their way to their respective cars, the rest of the group loading into the cars they would be taking. Radios crackled through them all, and then Chris's voice came out somewhat quietly. "Just follow the first jeep."
Victor, Michelle and Ren Eriksen got into the G55. He rolled down the drivers window and yelled, "You guys have enough room? we can fit one more person if you wish."
"Naw, we are fine!" Chris replied.
"Ok, then!" Under his orders, Victor followed the two black jeeps.
The jeeps sped off, into the city, rolling through the beautiful streets of Atherlon, towards the large building, a landmark, with a large sign on it: 'Grand Haraki Theatre'.

(ooc: again, sorry - lack of service)
ic: "Beautiful architecture you have here in Haraki," she commented as they drove along. "Will we be sitting in the balcony, or in the main hall?"
"That depends where you want to sit," Jaime said. "I believe we have the option of either tenth row in the main hall or second in the balcony. You can see from wherever you sit, don't worry. The theatre is built that way."

"Balcony, preferably ... if you don't mind. I'm not accustomed to having my back to so many strangers in such a large crowd," she admits with a grin.
"Jaime, I didn't realize you went in for theater." She smiled at him, intrigued. "We really should get out more."
He chuckled. "Well ... Yeah, most theatre. Yep, balcony for me as well. Always preferred it, don't know why."

"Wish I would have known ... I'd have dressed more appropriately."
She looks down at her current ensemble, and grimmaces. Entirely too casual for the theater in her opinion. Still ... when in Rome ...
Jaime looked over at her and chuckled. "Ah, it'll be fine. Don't worry."
The three ven/jeeps pull up beside the theatre, sliding gracefully into the parking lot. The doors open to let out the passengers.

She lets Jaime help her out, at least trying for once to not be so cursedly independant. She looks around, taking in the ambience and architecture, and the crowds.
Looping her arm through his, she walks closely to him, eyes darting this way and that on occasion, scanning for danger as usual.
Seeing the entire group climb out of their jeeps, Jaime sees Chris handing out tickets and obtains two, making sure they're together. He notes that all the seats are in the balcony.

"It's been too long," she says, accompanying Jaime to their seats. She took in the interior of the theater with a smile, enjoying the feel of the place.
As they arrived and the rest of the group settled down to their left, the rest of the audience quieted and settled down, seeing the lights dimming and the stage lights coming up, very clear as the show started.

Nathi leaned over on Jaime's shoulder, her hands clasped around one of his, and watched the show.
This is how things ought to be ... simple ... non-worrisome ... and yet, it isn't. It never is. Apart from these few brief moments ...
Her brow furrowed, even as she enjoyed the production.
OOC: Which show are they seeing? Streets of Atherlon or Story of a Life?
Dread Lady Nathicana
30-07-2003, 05:26
(oh bugger ... I screwed up. Streets I think it was. will go back and edit.)
The show went on uninterrupted and very well. It had elements of everything in it, and was performed flawlessly. Also an excellent show, and before they knew it, it was intermission.

30-07-2003, 05:41
Nathi got up and stretched gracefully.
"Don't mind me, dear .. I'll be right back." And with that, made her way off to touch up a bit, and get a drink from the fountain.
He chuckled and rose, stepping out for a moment to grab a drink.
Dread Lady Nathicana
30-07-2003, 05:53
Now what the hell had he been doing ... what was that call about? And what on earth am I going to do with the boy?
She took her time, stretching her legs a bit, and watching the crowd. The people here seemed ... different than in the Dominion, but she couldn't put her finger on it. Her thoughts continued to bother her, even as she made her way back to her seat.
And Chris ... something is going to have to be done there as well ...
Sitting there in silence, her chin in hand and leaned back slightly in her seat, she contemplated options.
Jaime finished his drink, stepping back inside and taing his seat beside Nathi again, leaning over to give her a kiss.
Dread Lady Nathicana
30-07-2003, 05:58
She looked up at him as he sat down, and smiled softly at the kiss.
Ah, my sweet Jaime ... what am I going to do with you ...
A shadow seemed to pass over her eyes briefly, but soon she was smiling and asking him what he thought of the show so far.
He chuckled. "I think it's quite good. Especially the scene where they were all sitting round the table talking about what was good with their lives. I found it quite funny."
Dread Lady Nathicana
30-07-2003, 06:15
Ah yes ... what's good with our lives. And the bad? Even the not so bad ... not nearly so fun to discuss. Damn, you've let all this get to you. she told herself.
"So tell me boy ... what was all that back there ... the call and all. What are you up to?"
Direct approach - usually worked best in this case.
"That? Oh - It was nothing. I'll tell you later."
Dread Lady Nathicana

He's going to get me killed one of these days. So help me, he is. The thought is sobering, though not an unfamiliar one. And one she'd given a lot of time to working out, without much of a solution so far. At least, not ones she liked.
"One of these days, you'll learn to talk to me first, boy. Avoids a lot of mistrust and wory later," she whispered back, sitting up in her chair and looking out over the audience, waiting for the show to begin again.
"I'm sorry, but, I really can't tell you around anyone from Haraki. I'll tell you why, and what the call was."
I missed alot...damn golf tournaments.
Haraki, can you please fill me in?
OOC: They all went to the theatre to see Streets of Atherlon, it's currently intermission and it's a fasntastic show.
I am having a blast...
Ok. Intermission...yeah.
Shall I just pick up from here with Michelle?
ooc: Oi! Is there anywhere I can stick a character in?
Michelle got a drink and walked back over near the door, waiting for a familiar face.
<Yep, that is right...I have NOOO clue what is going on>
ooc: Oi! Is there anywhere I can stick a character in?
OOC: SOrry, man. We're too far in by now.

Eriksen grabbed a shot of scotch from the counter, remembered to pay several steps later, and handed the bartender a five, instructing him to keep the change.
He wandered off looking for something to do while sipping the scotch.
ooc: hmph! you know my talent for stickin' people in.
Michelle saw Eriksen leaving the concession stand. "Hey! Ren!" she cried out. Eriksen turned around and started walking to her with a smile on his face.
"Hi, Michelle."
"What's going on?"
"Not much, how are you enjoying the play."
"To be honest, it isn't all that appealing to me, like other things right now."
He chuckled. "I think it's quite good, but I keep getting distracted."
"I like a little more action than this..." she said, looking at the floor. The room was packed with people, all wearing typical Harakin clothes, they wear some weird stuff here...thought Michelle.
"From what I recall of its advertising, there gets to be a bit more action later."
"I hope so..."
"How's your dad, I saw him sleeping."
"He's not that great of a diplomat."
"I am sure Chris won't like that."
"Yeah, oh well. There is a two hour time change from Ruhr here, even though we have been here for two or three days, its not getting any better."
"Yeah, understandable. I get jet-lagged a lot."
"Soo, I listened to my dad on the phone. I hear that the DIA (OOC Note: Defence Intelligence Agency) uncovered a Harakin operative in Nuremburg. His code-name is guardian?"
"Umm..."
"Is that right?"
"No. Guardian is the name attached to the only Harakian EI, assigned to protection of all mechanical, technical, electronic, you name it. Because of that, there would be no operative codenamed Guardian."
"Then what is this operative they found?"

Nathi nodded to Jaime, understanding ... but more nervous than ever now. Couldn't speak around any of them? Gods that couldn't be good.
Eriksen was about to answer, when the series of dings began to show people the show was beginning again.
---
Jaime breathed a sigh of relief, glad she hadn't pressed the matter at this point in time.
"No, don't move to that door."
"Wha? The shows about to start."
"Who is this operative, Sierra One?"
"I don't know. It's no man of ours, that's for sure. I'd guess IIA."
Raui had lingered on the balcony lost in memories of when he acted back home. The dings brought him back and he smiled. He turns to Chris as he comes back to their seats, "This is a great play. You have some talented people here." He smiles again and takes his seat.

"Whats IIA?" asked Michelle.
"Internal Intelligence Agency."

She watched impassively, enjoying, but distracted. She had far too much on her mind, and far too many questions to relax much more than that.
Michelle walked into the theatre without saying anything else.
OOC Notes:

Nathicana applauds, and gets to her feet as well.
"That was a pleasant interlude," she says, smiling. "Thank you, Chris, for providing us with the entertainment."
She loops her arm through Jaime's and waits for his lead.
Chris chuckles. "I thought we could use something lighthearted."
The group, led by Jaime and Nathi, make their way slowly out of the theatre. By this time it's getting later, aroun seven or eight at night. Chris speaks, as they stand in the parking lot looking around for where they left their cars.
"I was thinking maybe we would check into the Grand City Hotel, Haraki's finest hotel, for the night. It's right here in Atherlon."
"Chris, that sounds good. How about dinner though? I am sure that we all would like to eat sometime soon."
Chris smacks himself in the head. "I forgot about dinner-"
James hands him a clipboard. Chris nods. "Ah yes. Dinner will be at Karisa del Tarota. It's Old Haraki, no-one knows what it actually means, but it's a fantastic restaurant."

She notes his lighthearted manner and can't help but wonder again just what is going on with the man. This seems more like what she remembered him being like when she first met him, but ...
Still, she smiles and nods graciously to him, then looks up to Jaime questioningly.
"I'm certain whatever arrangements you've made will be wonderful, Chris. It's nice to get out and see things outside my country, and this has been quite the trip so far."
Jaime takes her hand, giving it a squeeze and chuckling. "Chris, that sounds great. Although ... I never knew how to get to Karisa..."
Chris laughs. "That's all right. Just follow my jeep."
Victor puts his arm around Michelle, and subtly asks her: "What is the deal with that Nathi lady? Perhaps you can get some information from Captain Eriksen."
"Ok, Daddy. Sierra One will know."
"Sierra what?"
"That's his code-name...he gave it to me as a means of---of---diplomatic ties"
"Ahh, thats my little girl! Learning to grow up like daddy!"

Nathicana couldn't help but pick up the comment ... and made a mental note to speak with Victor at some point.
"More jeep rides, eh?" she chuckled. "Well, lets get going. Perhaps it's best I wasn't overdressed after all."
Chris chuckled and called out sheerfully, "Follow me!"
He climbed into his jeep, watching the group behind him do the same, before he began to drive off.
Victor got into his Mercedes SUV, once again. This time, he cut off Jaime's vehicle and began to drag-race Chris's. Chris took a turn and Victor missed it. He stepped on the brakes, locking them up, and floored it causing the vehicle to fishtail. He straightened out the wheel and continued to race down the street. He looked in the Rear view mirror to see Eriksen trembling in fear, "Don't worry Sierra One, Diplomatic Immunity."
Eriksen chuckled as Jaime's passed them again with a wave and a crackle over the radio. "Not too good an idea, Vic... The police in Atherlong are a bit ... shall we say ... excitable?"
Victor forgot his radar-detector wasn't on! He quickly turned the knob on the Valentine One and it began buzzing constantly. He looked behind him to notice that there was a cop in a sportscar chasing after him. Victor slammed on the brakes and Michelle held onto the armrest for her life. Eriksen hit the front seat, and the cop let them go after noticing the plate. "You see, Eriksen? Diplomatic Immunity!"

"Jaime, you get us maimed, hurt, or otherwise damaged here, and so help me ... if we live through it, I'll kill you." She managed a chuckle nonetheless, hoping they'd get it out of their systems soon enough.
You guys laugh way too much. It is like you all have been permanently hooked up to anesthesia via IV.
At this point Chris's jeep turned into a parking lot, stopping and parking. Jaime's pulls in beside his, and Vic guides him in after. Chris steps out, in front of the rest of the group, chuckling They're beside a building marked Karisa del Tarota.

Eriksen and Michelle step out of the black Mercedes, both with a look of fear on their faces. Victor got out, walked around and said to Eriksen: "Don't get that much excitement in the Meeeef, now do you?"
"No, I guess not."
"It is a shame you guys don't! You look like you are covered in powdered sugar." Everyone else laughed, and Eriksen blushed. "Oh well, I had fun."
"That's what's important, Vic," remarked Jaime.
"Now, Chris...what does this place serve?"
OOC Note: Damnit! I have to go eat in five minutes!

Reaching their table, she made herself wait for Jaime to help her into her seat, attempting at least to be less independant. As she finished scooting in, she reached immediately for the icewater waiting for them on the table, and sipped contentedly.

"Um ... I think I'll try whatever you have that's cold." The waiter nods and turns to Nathi. "And your order?"

"Filet du Boeuf en Croute cooked medium rare, Madiera sauce if you will ... side that with some honeyed basil carrots, and an appetizer of crab-stuffed mushrooms - enough for all, if they'd like," she answered smoothly. "Oh, and on second thought, do bring out an appropriate glass of red wine to accompany it. Dominion lable, if you have any available?"
Grinning at Jaime she says, "I'll give you a taste, if you like ... excellent stuff."
(sorry for the delay - some of us have lives away from the comp. *chuckles*)
The waiter nods, having noted it all down with alarming speed. He turns to the rets of the table. "And for you ladies and gentlemen?"
"Oh! Wine!" Victor almost screamed. "Let me order the wine for the table!"
"Why, Vic?"
"Because I LOVE wine!" His eyes blew up like a puffer-fish.
"Better not argue with him on that, he is real good at picking wine," Michelle said.
"Damn, right I am good. And how do you know?" Victor stared Michelle down. Eriksen chuckled (grr...I hate that word)...at this.
"For those of us who want to order steak, I suggest you all choose between a Chilean wine called Sena and Chimney Rock. Both are excellent." He read from the winelist with his glasses on, "Ahh! Here it is! 1999 Sena!!! Oooh! And a 1997 Chimney Rock!!! AHh!!!! Both, I will pay! And get two of each and a decanter for each bottle!!! Oh! And for the sea-fairing peoples: umm....this 1999 Groth looks good."
Chris laughs. "This entire tour's paid for by the Haraki treasury. I'm paying, you're not."
He turns to the waiter. "A bottle of everything he said."
"Two bottles of Sena! That's good stuff!"
"Dad, shh...you're being loud!"
"I am a guest in another country, its my duty to be loud!" Everyone smiled. "So Chris, do you mind paying for sparkling water also?"
"Not at all, why?"
"Good, Waiter, please bring out two bottles of Voss...perferably the 750ml ones."

"Quite the ah ... character, isn't he?" she said to Jaime, nodding in Victor's direction with a grin.
Jaime chuckled and nodded. "Yes, he certainly is."
Eriksen ordered some sort of fancy Italian pasta that sounded like it would cost a fortune.
If someone else's paying, I may as well splurge...
"Quite the ah ... character, isn't he?" she said to Jaime, nodding in Victor's direction with a grin.
NationStates is great.
And Type-A Personalities are great...
IC: "You got those drinks?"
"Yes, sir!"
"Good, rib-eye. Medium-Rare, twice baked potato, asparagus (SP?)."
"I will have the same, please" replied Michelle.
The waiter took all their orders, including a very complicated string of wortds in the tongue of Native Haraki from Chris. The man nodded, noting it down. He took orders from the rest of the gorup and turned back to the kitchens.

"So Victor - how goes my little investment, eh?" she called across the table, then took a sip of water, eyeing him speculatively.
Michelle leaned back, she was exhausted. Soo much traveling today, when will it stop?
"Michelle, are you going to have any wine?" Chris inquired.
"If it isn't against the law, I might have a glass," responding.
"Well, I guess not."
"I think its a little problem, but if Chris says its fine, then you can have a glass."
Eriksen looked over at Victor. "Legal drinking age is 18 in Haraki. SHe's legit."
"So Victor - how goes my little investment, eh?" she called across the table, then took a sip of water, eyeing him speculatively.
"Nationstates Cafe locations have been opened up all over NATO and are spreading to the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. I will have the rest up in ten years. It takes a while, but it is paying off. We have a 75% profit margin thusfar, REAL big hit in Celack and Sigma Octavus thusfar, not doing so well in Luporum."

"Not bad ... not bad. I admit, I've had other more pressing business of late. I've yet to see my finance minister's report. Always good to hear a tidy profit margin."
Seeing Michelle's reaction, she arched a brow. "Bit much for you, is it? Or did you have a hard time sleeping in a strange place last night?" She kept her face perfectly clear of any amusement, looking genuninely concerned.
"Eriksen said its fine to drink, Daddy."
"Eriksen isn't your daddy, and you will have one glass of wine only."
"But--"
"No but-Daddy...one glass and be happy about it."
"Ok." She looked down, humbly. Eriksen blushed a little, he could tell that Victor wasn't entirely pleased with the drinking ability. Heh, if only he know.
Eriksen chuckled, and Chris turned to Victor. "NationStates Cafes have opened up all across Haraki. In fact, I believe we passed one on our way here. They've been an instant hit."

Nathi takes note of Raui's comment. "My nation happens to be surrounded on most of it's borders by ocean. Fish is not an expensive dish there either. Perhaps some sort of trade agreement might be reached?"
She looks over at him with a smile, sipping her water quietly.
Raui turns to Nathi. "3 sides?!" He says with astonishment. "I suppose then you have those ships that go on water?...what are they called.....boats, yes, boats. Because we cannot get cloud that low we must rely on some clandestine shore fishing for whatever fish we get. I assure you that some trade would be very valuable to us."
Victor was generally quiet until the food came. Michelle spoke a little to Eriksen, and some to Jaime.

She nods to Raui. "Aye, ships even. Damn fine Navy, if I do say so myself. Perhaps if you were to visit one day, I could take you on a tour. My capitol, Devras, has a good part actually built out on the water. Canals run through the majority of the old city, and it looks out over a beautiful bay. I'd be happy to take you for a ride on my personal sailboat, if you'd like. Nothing like the wind in your hair, the cool sea-mist, and the rush of the waves under your prow."
"What are you talking about, Lady Nathicana?" Michelle responded quietly.
Raui smiles. "I believe that is a trip I would love to make, Lady Nathicana. Once we recover from this tour, I will be happy to set a time with you. We can discuss what I might offer in exchange for a plentiful supply of fish." His eyes sparkle a brilliant blue as he sips his water.

"Excellent," she says, both to Raui's reply, and the arrival of the food.
She examines the plate with a practised eye, nodding in approval at the presentation. Taking first a small sip of her wine, she samples the beef wellington (yes, the previous was the french term for it) ... and smiles contentedly. The puff pastry is flaky, the chateaubriand is cooked to perfection, and the mushroom and wine sauce is exquisite.
"Jaime, as good as your steak looks, truly ... you need to try this," she says with a smile, daintily popping another bite into her mouth and savouring contentedly.
"So everyone, what do you think of the wine?" Victor said with a confident tone.
"I like the Chimney Rock," said Chris.
"You need to try the Sena, grreeaatt Chilean wine," he replied with an assuring voice.
"I tried the Sena," Eriksen said. "I like it alot!"

"Why the tour, dear, and the unfamiliar accomodations last night ... what else? I've learned to overcome it myself over the years with travel and all. Of course," she says, giving the girl a sly grin, "It doesn't hurt having someone to take your mind off things." She looks up at Jaime, reaching under the table to give his knee a gentle squeeze.
Oh stop baiting the girl, she told herself, mildly amused at the whole situation.
She continued to enjoy her meal, all of which was exquisite, as promised.
Raui savored his halibut since it had been 5 years since he last had fish. He remembers the first time so clearly. The tuna was purchased for his parents 25th wedding anniversary. It cost him nearly 3 months wages at the time but it was exquisite. If only they had not planned that trip for the celebration. What would they think now, their son, president of the Republic of Caterpillars.
A short sigh escapes him as he lets himself miss his parents and he returns to eating.

Ya. Well, gotta go anyways, so... see ya! ^_^
OOC: Sorry, I was busy all day ... I had acting camp final dress rehearsal today from 10:00 to noon, and then we just hung out at the Centre for five hours doing whatever, and drinking way too much coffee, especially the free crappy coffee down at Shoppers'. Then we had makeup call at 5:00, so we all had stage makeup forcefully rammed on our faces, and by this time I felt drunk ... I don't know why ... Anyway, we presented our show at 7:30 and it was fabulous! Although the techs completely messed up a bunch of their stuff ... Anyway ...

Upon reaching the hotel, she gets out and stretches, once again admiring the architecture of the place. A habit of hers.
She walks with Jaime in to the lobby, her bag tossed over her shoulder casually, and waits to be either shown to her room, or to have things further explained.
The building they pulled up to, clearly marked as the hotel, was over 100 stories high, towering into the sky. The awning over the front was well-made, covering the sidewalk for half a block. The architecture inside was fantastic.
Chris stepped in, leading the group other than Nathi and Jaime, who were out ahead. "As you can see, this building is, well, massive. I believe the clerk has keys to your rooms."

She of course, brushes it aside as if nothing, and waits for the doors to open up.
They barely feel a thing as the elevator starts, not even knowing it had started before the doors were opening. Jaime stepped out, his arm tightly around Nathi, as if to comfort her.

"Jaime ... you realize you're playing some very dangerous games here, yes?" She regards him seriously, looking quite concerned.
"Yes. I know. I've worked enough undercover work ... hell, enough work in general to know."
Diplomat Ozzlo of Dregruk was having a hard day, which was a really bad start to his first day as Diplomat. He'd knocked himself out on the coffee table when he woke up this morning, he broke his nose on his door on the way to work, he'd fractured his hand on his car door and now he looked like something out of a horror movie.
Still, his superiors insisted that he should visit Haraki on account of the open tour.
He entered the building and looked for someone to talk to from Haraki.

Kicking off her shoes, she lays back on the bed, pondering as she stares up at the ceiling.
He's doing it. Becoming a liability. Dammit all to hell.
He lies down slowly backwards on the bed, not knowing what to do or say. Chris didn't seem a danger to him, at least not yet. He didn't seem to be able to do anything Jaime couldn't handle.
