Anyone else notice this line? "It's too early to promise anything"
That's pretty much true about every experimental science looking for federal funding. But when has absense of results stopped federal funding before?

My stance on cloning has been this: I'm in favor of cloning organs but not a whole person. By cloning organs you can give someone who say has a bad heart a new lease on life.
You can clone someone, it will look like you, sound like you, but it will have a soul and personality all its own.

I agree with cloning organs. Think of the research.
But so far every cloned animal has been a mentally deficent, short-lived, and usually deformed excuse of a specemin. Why would we create such a person just to treat him like a labrat
