I came across an issue I couldn't really sit on... with only TWO arguements. Both at polar-ends. "Ishtwav's Schoolchildren Not Learning The Lingua Franca". I was given the choice to either force kids to learn another languege and waste more tax. OR I could rid schools of langueges and pocket the tax by some "patriot".
Why can't I pick the middle idea... of letting it be? Or something like that...
Thanks.

Firstly, for future reference, questions about issues go in the 'Got Issues?' forum.
Secondly, if you dismiss the issue, that does leave things as they are.
The whole point of having polarising options in the issues is to force you to choose. It is possible to have a balance nation even if you never dismiss an issue - you just have to work it out. That's part of the fun of the game.
