Need a little help

I need a little advice on some govermnet policy/spending. THis is a tough desicion, and I need advice. My military is weak, so I was kinda leaning on that, but I need some expert advice here:

The state of the education system is, in many areas, simply frightful," says Teachers Union leader Calvin Jones. "And even where we are doing well, we could do better. I appeal to the authorities for a substantial boost in funding. Remember, the children are our future."

"We won't have a future unless we improve police numbers and rebuild the military," says General Roger Jones. "Oh, it's all well and good to have your fancy education and your nice cars, until some tinpot dictatorship decides to invade. And don't pretend like there aren't any of them in our region. Our number one priority has to be security."

"Education is nice, but Health and Social Welfare are more important," says celebrity social worker Tobias Christmas. "This is where the people who really need government help are: the marginalized of our society. If we don't help them, what kind of a nation are we?"

"Hey, I've got a crazy idea," says noted libertarian and bird-watcher Buffy Bush. "How about the government stops taking so much tax from people? Give us a tax cut and we'll buy the things we need ourselves. People need to be weaned off the government teat!"

Option 1... Obviously increases Education... As a result probably has some result on Crime as well as a few other things, but at what cost. The price of education is either going to re-allocate funding from things such as law & Order, Defense and a few other "non-social" related areas or an increase in overall level of tax to pay for extra education. The monetary levels would remain similair (or should anyway) but the percentage levels may cause problems.

Option 2... Boosts Law & Order and Defense... most likely at the cost of education and other social effects. Will affect crime directly and boost your defense budget. not sure on the Tax effects whether it "re-allocates" or adds new taxes. But both are problems.

Option 3... Health and Social Welfare... Social Welfare spending has an indirect affect on crime.

Option 4... Reduce all spending.

This is pretty much tries to determine the focus of your budget, If you think your nation needs to focus on Defense and Law & Order then do so... If you think it needs better education.... Or Health and Social Welfare then do so. Or even if Reducing the overall amount spent. Remember all options have down sides as well as their up sides and it is up to you to determine which one of these your nation needs.

If you think your nation's budget is fine where it is... simply dismiss
