Ok i have a question concerning one of the issues brought up to decide. It had to deal with the auto industry and outside competition. Why was a fourth option not allowed? An option to incentivize the auto industry to modernize? The other three options are signficiantly draconian and all not advisable to any economy. Tarrifs risk other nations taking the same route. Abolishing the min wage could cause inflation issues and deflation issues. And the final option would leave many unemployed. I dont like to dismiss issues in general but i was forced to here as it did not have the option that i would of taken. Thanks in advance.

That particular issue is one of the original issues written by Max Barry, if I'm not mistaken. The issues in the game are not designed to offer a clear cut option that either benefits or detriments a nation. If you'll recall, the game is designed to exaggerate the effects of the issues on our nations. Because of this we are often stuck with the eventuality of dismissing issues. In this scenario a dismissal seems to be the only option.

The other alternative to the effects you wish to avoid would be to implement the option that hurts your nation the least and counteract some of its "negative" effects with the efects of another issue.
