Issues

Some of these issues are just plain stupid.

Today I got one about animal testing. There are only two choices, either forbid the whole thing, or go around funding the animal testing extra.

I don't want to forbid animal testing, but I don't want to increase my tax rate to financially support it either.

I have been getting a lot of these type of issues lately. Some important issue coming up, where a multitude of ways are available of dealing with it as a government, but yet you get only two or three choices, none of which really match my vision for my nation.

And the only choice that comes close to my view, needs an increase in tax. Whereas I myself can think of plenty of ways of not having to increase tax to make the right (in my opinion) choice.

I have been going along, but so far I have gotten a rediculous 50% tax rate.

If you really don't like any options than just dismiss the issue, that's really the only thing you can do.

Yeah, but I've been forced to dismiss about 5 out of the last 8 issues, simply because there were too few options. And none of them reasonable.

Dismissing means keeping things as they are. In real life, governments don't change policies very frequently.

True, but if you get an important issue, you want to be able to make a fitting choice for policy, not just two silly ones that don't suit your vision for the nation.
