In the issue "*animal* on the dinner table?" are there any positive or negative effects on your nation if you choose yes or no, or is it purely cosmetic?

saying yes will increase the economy.

ah, well I guess I'll choose yes. Though I don't know the nutritional value of an eagle.
Common sense thinking it would increase freedom and decrease the number of national animals (as, being NS, it would be blown out of proportion and they would be killed for food near to extinction or something).

Well, i know that putting panthers on the dinner table saved my economy from imploding when i was but a young pup of a nation.
It increases your economy, for sure.
If you really want to see the effects in a more dollar-specific way, use the NS Tracker.
http://nstracker.retrogade.com/
Go to that site, put in your country's name, and remember to ADD A TRACKER to your nation. That way, when you decide the issue, you can go back in the next day and use the graphs to show you what went up or down and by how much.
Its a pretty cool tool. Look at my economy NOW :)

Alright, I'll start using the tracker too.

I just realized.
I should start to encourage some business (no matter how leftist I want to be).
and ehm...
Gross Domestic Product: S$153.00 billion
Government Budget: S$157.73 billion
I must have more than a 100% tax or something. Because having 4 billion more than the GDP in Budget seems weird.
What if your nataional animal is already on the brink of extinction? Would eating it push it over the edge?

No, it never gets extinct, no matter what the result of the issue may say.
