I used to be a Capitalizt nation but recently changed to a Left Leaning College State because of an issue. The issue was #85 - the one about people illegally sharing files of music and stuff. I chose to allow people to copy protect their cds and now all of a sudden, my economic freedom and my economy itself went down. Why is that? Could someone tell me?
It's cause people are stealing copyrighted stuff now. There's no need to buy things in your nation because of it.

I heard issues can have really weird effects on new nations, regardless of what they choose.

Its like in school. Bombing a test when you first start really lowers your grade average, while later on in the semester, its not as bad.

And on the same token, having a low grade at the beginning of the semester is better than having a low grade near the end, because on the latter, you've got more bad grades stacked up to work against.
