Name: Lick Postage Stamps for Good?

Validity: All

Description: Now that the cost of international postage stamps has become so high that many people are hesitant to mail things, communication between the populace of @@NAME@@ and the rest of the world has become less frequent. Should postage stamps be gotten rid of?

[option] "Rubbish!" says Postmaster @@RANDOMNAME@@ "The post ministry itself will fail without postage stamps! And where else will people get decorative mini pictures of famous people and botanical specimens? Besides, if you can't afford a postage stamp, how much interesting stuff can you have to say anyway?"
[effect] Only the middle to upper class send mail.

[option] "This is a great idea!" says a note sent by carrier pigeon, "Without postage stamps, more people will send letters. This means that the country will have a greater presence worldwide, and greater tourism. To further cheapen the cost, we can turn postal workers into slaves!"
[effect] Postal slaves use oxen to move mountains of mail.

[option] "Why does this have to be an issue at all?" says @@RANDOMNAME@@ "If the poor can't buy postal stamps, let's issue them cell-phones! Then everyone will be happy!"
[effect] The lower classes communicate exclusively with mobile phones. Literacy is low.

[option] "No problem here!" says your general, "Let's just close the borders!"
[effect] No communication leaves the country.

Good title.

The "international" theme doesn't really fit in with the issue. Why don't you just talk about domestic mail and kill option four, since it doesn't really have any substance anyway.

Get rid of of the Literacy is low part in the effect of option 3.

Also, option four is very poorly written.

I would change it from an issue about stamps to an issue about the postal service in general.

Also I would just kill off option four.
