Hi... I had a region member submit not quite the same issue before but I realised it had a mjor problem... ont one option was given an effect.... Well now my nation is approaching the magic 500 mark I would like to put this issue out there ... mainly to get feed back and suggestions for stats...

Name: National Tragedy, Air crash disaster

Description: The recent deaths of over 320 people in a horrific crash of a Young's 676 Airplane, after talking off from one of @@NAME@@'s major International airports, has stirred debate over the nation's Aircraft control system.

Validity: All

[option]@@RANDOMNAME@@, President of the Pilot Choices movement, has said in a recent Television interview "@@NAME@@'s aircraft control system is a cumbersome and rigid burden on the pilot's. Most crashes occur because the pilot's have to concentrate on these archaic rules and protocols. We should scrap the system and leave things up to the pilot's. They are the one's that know how to operate aircraft safely, not faceless beaucrats."
[effect]airports are chocked with delays due to scared pilots
[stats]Civil rights up, government size down, tax down, economy down

[option]Minister for Aviation Safety and Security, @@RANDOMNAME@@, replied to the calls for the scrapping of the Aircraft Control system by saying. "This crash just enforces that our aviation safety protocols are not up to scratch. Traffic at our major airports has increased over 5% over the last year and is projected to increase by another 10% over the next year. We need a more efficient and safe system to accomodate this growth, I am currently finalising a system that I have been working on before taking it to my government."
[effect]pilots are tearing their hair out dealing with the new aircraft control system
[stats]Civil rights down abit, govt size increases slightly, tax up, economy up

[option]"We don't need more beaucracy," Say the Chief Controller's of @@NAME@@'s major Airports. "We need more staff, equipment and facilities so that we can handle the increase in air traffic. Our staff are being run ragged and are required to eat and sleep on the job. With our staff like this it was just a matter of time till such a disaster happened."
[effect] aircraft control towers are so crammed full of stuff that nothing can get done
[stats]tax up, economy up

[option]"Want an easy way to cut down on aircraft crashes? Ban all Aircraft!" States @@RANDOMNAME@@, a resident living directly under the flight path of a major airport. "Airplanes are horrible things that are the bane of my... I mean all of our existences. The world used to be larger and that is the way I like it... Keeps me away from those darn foreigners too."
[effect]foreigners walking the streets often get harrased by passer-bys
[stats]Govt size down, tax down, civil rights down, compassion down, environment up, economy down

Very good issue I thought but yes you need stats; you'll probably need someone to help you with that.

Yeah.. I really need help with the stats. I had some ideas and updated the issue but I am not happy with them... nearly any of them.

So any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I'm not really good at stats but in option 1 I don't think civil rights should go up by that much. Also in the last option environment should go up because of no pollution from planes.

Possibly an increase in civil rights since those employees would potentially be treated better
