This is my first issue that I have written, based on a current event and debate going on right now in my country. Comments are of course welcomed. I don't know where to get it posted though!

[name]To How Free Should One Blog?

[description]The most popular blogger in @@NAME@@, @@Randomname@@, makes some racist and anti-religious comments in her blog, inciting some anger among the people. Freedom of speech and very little censorship currently in blogging has been brought into question.

[validity]For nations with a reasonable amount of political freedom and civil rights.

[option]"We are free to speak everything we want online!" Another prominent blogger, @@Randomname@@ writes on his blog. "To take any legal action aganist us will create a climate of fear! I say the government issue a statement promising to maintain the freedom of speech and no censorship online!"
[effect]minority races are lynched by die-hard fans of celebrity bloggers
[stats]Crime, especially race & hate-related increases, political freedom & civil rights increases moderately.

[option]"The reason why we see these on @@NAME@@ blogs" says Deputy Educational Minister @@Randomname@@, "is because the people of @@NAME@@ were not taught about responsible blogging since young. I say that we hold a blogging competition, with iPod Nanos as prizes, that is complusory for all @@NAME@@ students. Who knows, we can encourage them to support the government, and promote patriotism!"
[effect]all students in schools are required to participate in a government-sanctioned blogging competition to learn the "correct" way of blogging
[stats]Political and civil rights decreases slightly, taxes increase by 2%.

[option]"If such hate speech is allowed to be propagated freely, I fear for the safety of my fellow brothers!" exclaims @@Randomname@@, the chairman of the Muslim Council of @@NAME@@. "The government should arrest and charge such irresponsible bloggers in court, to serve as a warning to the other hate-mongers."
[effect]bloggers are hauled to court and imprisoned for propagating hate speech
[stats]Civil rights decreases moderately.

[option]"Why should the people of @@NAME@@ be allowed to blog online? Don't you think it's going to be an avenue for sedition? I say that we should ban blogging altogether!" claims right-wing politician @@RANDOMNAME@@.
[effect]blogging is illegal
[stats]Civil and political rights decreases greatly.

**Edited by teh_Grammar Nazi Cz4r, otherwise it looks all right. I took the liberty of revising Option 2, which was kind of far-fetched. ~The Concordance

The second option is on an *actual* event in real life. It was indeed a competition, National Inter-school Blogging Competition to be exact.

As far-fetched as it sounds, it's true. I base the writeup on a number of academic references. On second thoughts, a course may sound more appropriate under the context for NationStates.

Revised it a bit more, for better or for worse.

I don't quite understand why blogging would have to do with political rights, unless politicians used blogs to campaign. However, that is not specified in this issue. Also, I edited option 4 to "flow" better.
