This is my second issue (my first was about getting children to socialize more vs. leaving them alone). Please comment on this and help me get it approved.

After successive governments have reneged on their promises and pulled hidden plans from their sleeves, voters are up in arms about governments ignoring the will of the people.

Options:

[option] “I am sick and tired of politicians deceiving the populace!” says social commentator @@ RANDOMNAME@@. “Politicians and their parties should be legally required to submit each and every item they wish to pass, make it simple and clear to the voters, and require a nation-wide referendum for anything else they wish to pass. It’ll slow down the political process, but this is the only way to make sure that we know what we’re getting when we vote.”
[effect]Politicians who misspell a word in their proposals face jail time.
[stats]Political freedom decreases moderately

[option]”Look, when governments are elected, they’re elected because the majority agrees with our political views, not just our advertised policies,” says fifth-term politician @@RANDOMNAME@@, who holds the balance of power along with two other Independents in the Lower House. “If anything, we should reduce the majority needed to pass legislation. This would reduce the amount of people bribed to for the government to get its way.”
[effect] Political campaigns of ‘us’ against ‘them’ are shown almost daily.
[stats] Political freedom increases moderately

[option]”Hey, this is a problem,” says Commissioner @@RANDOMNAME@@ of the President Protection Squad. “We need to squash this dissent altogether. Wouldn’t it be better to get rid of these squabblers and have a military – I mean – benevolent dictator instead?”
[effect]Former members of Parliament are dragged off to slave camps as men with assault rifles patrol public toilets.
[stats]Political freedom drops drastically, crime is reduced

I like it. 'Make is simple' in Option 1 should be 'make it simple', and I'm not sure 'bribed to' is a valid construction, but otherwise I can't see any errors. Option 3 is a bit samey - so many issues have that answer - so maybe you could tailor it to make it a little individual.

Thanks, I've fixed the mistake. :)

I know that the third option is a common one, but I don't know how to individualize it, so I'll submit it as it is if no one submits a specific suggestion.

Option 3 could be done by having something like "You hear a voice in your head. It says "Why not just execute all the politicians and rule on your own? That would solve the problem.""

Thanks. That'd probably work. I'll work on it and change option 3 later based on your suggestion.

You could add another option to rig all the elections so the people won't get so mad.

Thanks for all the input guys, but I've decided to go with the original submission. Please wish me luck.
