Why are all the issues so EXTREME?

For instance, I just had to make a decision on speed limits. My options were:

A. Abolish all speed limits (dumb)
B. Lower all speed limits (possibly dumber)
C. Keep them the same but activate a George Orwellian GPS system in all cars.

I dismissed. I do that a lot. What does that do BTW?

Why not:

D. Raise speed limits by 10mph on interstates.

Or something to that effect.

I usually find my options too extreme and dismiss often. I may still be making a choice when I choose not to decide, but it doesn't feel much like I'm playing the game.

They're extreme because it's fun that way. Remember it's not real life, people aren't going to die.

Unless you choose the options, kill all those who oppose you :D

Seriously, try being stupid just for fun, it does'nt really matter, you can make a new country or just fix the problem, have fun with it.

I've been having that problem, too. Except I don't dismiss often. I'm just looking for a balance. This "Democratic Socialist" thing ain't working out. It's bothering me, because I'm too serious. I've found that when you have "dictatorship of the proletariat (sp?)" so to speak, everyone's a member of the proletariat. It's like taking care of children. I just want a fake nation I can be proud of and want to show people. But I'm still young. . . .

The only thing I dismiss is the STD one. Sometimes I click on the education peice of it, but only for some of my nations.

It helps if you're running an EXTREME country. :D

It also helps if your nation has dogs that run around on skateborards, telling you to always recycle... to the EXTREME!

I dismiss issues that lower civil rights/political freedoms/economy or raise taxes, but only if there's no other option.

This entire game/forum is an advertisement for the book, Jennifer Government. The reason that the issues are so extreme and full of satire, is to mimic the satire used in the book.

Oh, ok. Is the book all that good. . . in anyone's opinion? I've not seen any reviews.
