Our government has an internal conflict over our latest issue. The Eternal Kawaii Poetry Society has come up with a request for government funding for the arts:

We received a report from out Conclave of Beauty that recommends Our nation grant the funding request as part of the national beautification effort.
However, We also received a contradictory report from our Conclave of Effenciency that denounced the request as a waste of hard-earned tax revenue.

Any suggestions from other nations with similar funding requests?

Our Conclave of Joy brokered a compromise: We are going to allow funding for the arts, but if the artist's product doesn't meet with community approval, they will be publicly flogged for wasting the taxpayers' money.
