I received the issue that asks whether voting should be voluntary or not and I chose that it should be voluntary, expecting this to raise my political freedoms or at least make them the same, but the opposite happened. I dropped one level from World Benchmark to Superb. How did that happen?

Maybe because by making it voluntary, fewer people voted and therefore the wrong people controlled the vote. Just a theory.
I think the issue is just messed up and needs to be changed.

Actually, it happened when voting is mandatory or outlawed.
Your freedoms go up if you have it as voluntary.

Not with my nation. The blurb says "voting is voluntary" and my political freedoms decreased a level, I'm sure it was because of that issue since I didn't reply to any others
