The Tiara Sign of Oppression, Declare Feminists issue is pretty poorly done...

You can either ban beauty contests for women for two different reasons, or open it to men also....

Why cant you just support it?!

I regreetfully had to dismiss it

For a badly done issue, look at "Appointment of Spiritual Advisor". Or how about the three - count'em, three - issues about returning democracy to the people, "People Request Not So Much Dictatorship, if That's All Right", "Power to the People?", and "Bring Back the Ballot?"

Ahh, yes, I had that one about a month ago as well. I also dismissed it. But once an issue is approved and coded into NS, the mods do not usually modify it in any way -with typo's being the only exceptions that I am aware of. But the good news is that you can write your own issues and submit them to be considered once your population reaches 500 million. (Note: Another issue just like that one with beauty contests in my opinion probably wouldn't make it in since I hear the mods don't like exact replica topics. But you could do another issue of that type of theme and see how it goes if you like.)

"Gunman Kills three" is one I always have to dismiss. There is no straight-up "crack down on crime" option, in every case you have to ban something, etc.

"Oh, The Angst", "close encounters of the sci-fi kind," "deserts devouring the countryside" I always dismiss.

I usually dismiss about 55% of the issues, unfortunately. Good ones include the euthanasia one, the outsourcing one, public loudspeakers, and wedlock worries.
