Military Spending help

Ok, I was asked this question:
Military Demands Increased Spending

The Issue
The Department of Defense has put its case for a substantial increase in funding for the coming financial year.

The Debate
"These are turbulent times we live in," says Defense Chief Anne-Marie Jefferson. "Turbulent and dangerous. And the only sensible response to that, of course, is to build a lot more weapons. Unless we get the funding we need, I can't promise that we'll be able to defend MikoKit's sovereign borders from rogue nations and foreign powers. Or those leaky boatloads of refugees, for that matter."
[Accept]

"NO MORE BOMBS," chant the protestors outside Parliament House, in a repetitious and increasingly annoying appeal. Spokesperson George W. King, speaking through a feedback-afflicted microphone, says, "MikoKit needs fewer weapons, not more! Make the world a safer place! Disarm now!"
[Accept]

The problem is, I need to know how many weapons I have allready. Is this poll assuming that my NationState is USA like? If that's the case then I don't really need more weapons, but if I'm some small nothing Nation State then I DO need weapons. So, How do I find out how many weapons I allready have?

This is the kind of question that you'd usually start your own thread on instead of adding to the FAQ, but since you're new you may not know the general behavior/norms for the forums yet.

Regarding your question, that depends on what you've answered on issues so far and also the original questions answered to create your nation. To my knowledge (I have no access to the mod secrets . . .) there are no specific numbers of how many weapons your nation has at any moment. You can RP using any numbers you want, but most other players prefer you to keep the amounts reasonable in relation to your current population.

That being said, you can at least have an idea whether your nation has any money devoted to military needs by going to this website (http://nseconomy.thirdgeek.com/) and looking at your budget. It will show you your country's breakdown of how it spends money. Military money is under the Defence category. I hope this helps you at least a little. Basically just decide for yourself if you'd rather beef up your defences or cut back -Remember you can also just dismiss it if you don't like any of the options. Dismissing never harms your nation's stats (that I know of).

:) Thank you! (It says down at the bottom that I'm not allowed to start a new thread, so this seemed like the most appropriate place. ((I only signed up two days ago)) )

Ahh, I see. That would make it challenging to start your own then wouldn't it? ;) OK, glad I could help in some way.

You may post new threads
I'm not sure why you think this means you can't post new threads, but everyone else seems to be able to. Perhaps you should try again.
