In the last 48hrs or so my nation has gone from a 6% tax rate to a 21% tax rate, and from a massive trade deficit to a trade surplus???
I cant think of any logical reason why this wouldve happened, I am still choosing the same kinda options, any ideas??

Belong to the UN? Sometimes UN mandates can cause tax rates to rise.

It's almost certainly issue choices, since you aren't in the UN.

That does seem a big jump in taxation levels, I suspect it is a preprogrammed 'unexpected consequence' in the most recently answered issue. Did you answer more than one issue at the time of the jump? Remember also if you keep choosing the same options you'll get the same results (to clarify I mean if you answer an issue in a way that increases taxes to provide a better/new service the next time you answer an issue and raise taxes again it will still go up, even if it the same issue you have already answered and have just reselected the same response). You may find more help in 'Technical issues' I think it's called.

Im not in the UN and i did answer a couple issues at once but all my issues tend to be answered with low tax and strong economy in mind so Im baffled as to what couldve happened.
As I have been here for 6 months i dont think that one issue would make that much difference
