Rare Issues?

Just got this issue today:

Easter Egg! - Should we pull the Lever?

The Issue
During the middle of the night, someone has mysteriously put a lever in the middle of the city park. On it, it says, "Pull the Lever, and See the World End."

The Debate
"I've always wanted to see the apocalypse." says an elderly man on a park bench. "All that fire and brimstone. To see God's wrath. Something I can tell my grandchildren about later on. I say we should."

This is the position your government is preparing to adopt.

"Not on your life!" says his wife sitting next to him. "If you pull that lever, we'll have no grandchildren, no life, only heaven and hell. Don't you dare pull that lever."
[Accept]

"Now, don't think of it as a do/don't option," says a hot dog vendor. "What if we give tours so that people can see the lever? Not to touch it of course, but to see that humanity can be ruined by such a contraption. We can make a profit."
[Accept]

Was wondering if anyone else got a rare issue? Cause this is the first I've seen.

I've received that issue once, for my main nation. My four puppets have never received it. I ended up dismissing it because I didn't want to accidentally n00k teh world :D

(I feared that it would have drastic negative effects on my stats. Perhaps a mod is willing to spoil the consequences of choosing one way or the other for me? :D )

one of my freinds got it , I think if you decide to not push it, it drops your economy three points, and your nation becomes known for "careless policies regarding doomsday machines"
if you are still here tomorrow, tell us what happened.

Which is why I dismissed it when I got it...I knew that whatever effect it had, it'd be too much for me to handle. :)

Yeah, its the first I've ever seen it too.

BTW, why did you choose to see an apocolypse when you could make a profit???

Has anyone yet decided to pull the lever? Hmm, I hope i'll get it for some of my puppets so we'll see. Maybe it'll fill the NS server with spyware and viruses? That definently would be a NS apocalypse.

The Prosperous and Holy Republic of Maubachia is a massive, economically powerful nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 1.317 billion are either ruled by a small, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The large, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Commerce. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 6%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Gambling, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Uranium Mining industries.

Artists are pillars of society, thousands of cute furry kittens are trampling everything in their path (Maubachia has found 1 easter eggs), scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, and the mining industry is making inroads into environmentally sensitive areas. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Maubachia's national animal is the Mermaid, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the mabus.

Maubachia is ranked 1st in the region and 9,426th in the world for Lowest Crime Rates.

This is an easy one to get once your population reaches 1.25 billion. What I want to know is has anyone besides Pallor gotten #80? And if you have, HOW did you do it?

#78: Easter Egg! - Should we pull the Lever?
San Mabus
18-04-2005, 12:45
Much of San Mabus's computer network is controlled by a rampant artificial intelligence, Goldfishs are becoming popular in pet stores nationwide, police officers are seen patrolling the streets armed with satellite-guided truncheons, and there is now a private sector based on doomsday devices (San Mabus has found 1 easter eggs). Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. San Mabus's national animal is the Goldfish, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the mabus.
