when I get the issue of gambeling, I choose option 3 (legalize gambling with taxes, and minimum age).
but, somehow my economy fall from strugling to weak, despite the fact that I created new jobs, and my walfere could help the ones who lost their homes.
why did that happened? or at least, why the thing the man said in the issue were lies?

Sounds like you had outlawed gambling and are now reinstating it. Can't say that I've ever seen that option in my issues. You're probably still reeling from the effects of outlawing an industry. Doing so is bound to have long-lasting effects as the economy retools. That's my best guess.

anyway, I already decide to outlaw it again, because of the weak results,

There are two gambling issues, #9 and #108. You must be referring to #108 since #9 has only two options. You can't always predict the effects on your nation from the language in the options. The only way you can find out is to read some of the older threads (when experienced nations were more willing to share their knowledge) or to track the results of your decision (meaning you can only decide one issue at a time or you won't know which one caused the effect on your nation).

I've never chosen either option 1 or 3 on #108 because when I chose the gambling option on #9 it increased the crime rate. Option 2's visible effects are a decrease in crime by one level and a 1% increase in the income tax rate.

If you want to boost your economy there are other better issues to do so.

Ha, Ha. There are always trade-offs, my friend. And unintended consequences. Best of luck to you.
