Insulting and Unfair

I have noticed something I found quite insulting in the Harry Potter Censorship issue. I was preparing to click on option 2, because i believe that there is nothin wrong withthe books as long as your not some weirdo who cant tell fact from fiction. i swiftly changed my mind at the following comment: "...religious wackos, like Christians." Being Christian myself i dismissed the issue. I request that this unfair stereotypeing (spell?) be removed by whoever moderates the Issues.

The options in issue's reflect an opinion, in some cases an extreme opinion. It doesn't mean whoever wrote the issue thinks that all christians are religious wackos, it just means that the character in that option thinks that.

First off, I actually believe many _fundamentalists_ Christians are in fact wackos. But now I'll come to their defense ... if the above proposal had said "Jew" instead of "Christian" do you think it would be politically correct? What if the proposal had said "Muslim" instead of Christian? I still think we'd already have heard complaints in either case.

I don't see any easy way around this and agree with your (the team judgement shown above), but I also feel that New Israel is right to point out that this issue might be a bit biased. The question I have, is are their other issues that perhaps pick fun at other religions as well? If so, the you could say that in addition to the above response, you could add, "But hey, if it makes you feel better we pick on Buddhists, Muslims, and Jews as well. We even take a dig or two at Satanists for varity." *shrug*

NOTE: I'll point out that I think most people are wackos though and that I've met some Christians whom are great people.

They make an effort to have both the opinions on an issue be extreme (and somewhat ludicrous, even).
