Cool issue! But I haven't gotten it before, even though it seems to be an old one (maybe i'm wrong). What's required to trigger it, just wondering?

Good question as I got the same issue and am wondering which way to go with it. I wonder if being in a player created v. a feeder region would impact the result?

I picked "boost the airforce", increasing my defence power and got my economy up to frightening without losing any civil or political rights. Wow :)

I think you need to have low levels of Defence funding to get the issue.

This one needs a minor edit for a typo - in the final option, "Rastifarian" should be corrected to "Rastafarian".

I think General Mike is right. I had a fairly low level.

Nope. At last count I was in the low to mid-hundreds and I got this issue recently. The issue's open to anyone who has a military budget at all.

Bleh. Picking any of the fund military options raises the nation's taxes by a huge amount.

What's the difference in stats between picking the army, navy, and air force?
