I'm gonna go on a little rant real quick about the whole outstanding issue thing... I dont know where to start so I'll just say it. When u accept an answer for an issue for example... do you want to have children learn another language in the school systems? and one of the answers were yes have them learn a language in the school system so I chose that one... then when i look back in a few hours i see that in the description of my nation it says that citizens are expecting to be fluent in at least FIVE LANGUAGES!! That's not what I accepted... and its like that with a lot of issues does anybody else see that? ok i think im done ranting...

I think the purpose behind some of the issues is to give some of the most extreme outcomes possible. Then again, I have nothing against my school children learning five languages. ;)

I think that one of the major purposes of this simulation is to simulate the things that politicians/national leaders HAVE to go through. The reason that there are such extreme outcomes is because they want you to think about the consequences of your actions. Yes, I'll admit that 5 languages is a bit extreme, however, I think that its just a hyperbole set in to put a little humor into a humorless topic.
Almost everything in NS is a little over-the-top.
