It would be cool to have a page that lists all the UN Categories and the percent of nations with each title...

Example:

Inoffensive Centrist Democracy 12.3%
Father Knows Best State 8.7%

and so on...Then people (especially newbies) would have an idea of what their nation is like compared to the rest of the world.

I don't know if it's a good idea, but I would like to see that.

Thanks.

Thel D'Ran did a survey of the 6,000 + nations in the North Pacific (feeder) region about two months ago. I'll see if his posts are still around on the North Pacific forum. (The forum link is in my sig file.) :)

It was pretty interesting. He also looked at the names (including elder states) used as prefixes for our nations.

I'm going to plug Thel for a second. He is a wonderful player and takes a lot of time to basically region build. I think it is a terrible thing that Francos Spain and Great Bight have done in taking a region he has put months into developing, but little things like Thel D'Ran's surveys added a richness to the game that is hard to find elsewhere -- in this case, in a large region, really a useful tool for newbies as well. And it does irk me to see Francos bash on NP nations like Thel in Francos's mass telegram campaigns ... here I'm talking about the SPAM / endorsement swapping campaigns that Francos is sending out. (Don't believe me, sneak a puppet into the North Pacific, and Francos will spam ya.)

I'm sure if I can find Thel's old work (or perhaps find out how he did this ... probably a script), that you'll agree that Thel is both friendly and resourceful. Grrrrrh, the North Pacific mass griefing just makes me so mad! :(
