Yes, I actually have an idea for a new issue. I hope no one else has come up with it by now. I'm still working out the stats, and wouldn't mind some help with them.
Robot Car Controversy
Available for all nations with cars and AI.
With recent testing of new cars controlled by AI, conservative groups are outraged with the new technology.
1) "This is insane! Artificial intelligence should never replace natural human intelligence." Complains @@RANDOMNAME@@, the angry leader of the Conservative Party. "Sure, it might save some lives, but it removes people from total control of their vehicles. I urge you to stop work on this right now."
Effect: @@NAME@@ is notorious for the number of people killed on the roads each month.
2) "The work should continue," counters @@RANDOMNAME@@. "With the new AI's only in control of the manouvering of cars, many thousands of lives will be saved, and things like drink driving and speeding will be a thing of the past. Surely people don't want to pay excessive fines over a small outlay for the AI."
Effect: The police are searching for new revenue options as traffic fines have plummeted.
3) "And what about us taxi drivers?" @@RANDOMNAME@@, head of the Taxi Drivers' Union asks. "If human drivers are replaced by AI, we're going to be out on the street, without work. I've got a wife and kids to support, you know. If the AIs come into our cabs to take our jobs, you'll.... You'll... You'll need to pay to retrain us into other occupations."
Effect: Former taxi drivers have been sent to work in low-end jobs in factories and retail stores all across @@NAME@@
