Loss of Fluffiness

I recently attained civil rights lovefest status. Much to my disappointment I am now a mere inoffensive centrist democracy.

That much was probably inevitable when I agreed to CCTV in public places in the interests of crime reduction.

However, what has piqued me somewhat is that despite at the outset setting a very high store by free elections I am now apparently lumbered with a situation in which my citiizens have free elections "but not too often".

I have really no idea where this came from.

Similarly, citizens are free to spend their money but "only up to a point". We have a 29% tax rate but that isnt exactly high by the standards of the game (certainly not in my region :) ).

Its all a bit odd.

Oh yes....and do issue choices affect the weather or is it random or even regional. I really could do with it brightening up a bit. Sunflowers need sunshine ya know!

The language you are quoting is the standard opening paragraph for a nation that has a UN ranking of Inoffensive Centrist Democracy (ICD) and has little to do with what ends up appearing in the second and third paragraphs of your nation's description. The last two paragraphs depend on your decisions on issues. An IDC UN category means that your nation has a centrist ranking in its civil, economic and political freedoms. Civil Rights Lovefest nations have libertarian tendencies in the civil and political arenas.

You can't compare your nation to others in your region because each nationstate's owner is --er-- charting his own course.

Weather is affected by your decisions on issues.
