how does nationstates rank best weather? can political decisions on various issues really affect how much rain, sunshine, wind, sleet, snow, tornadoes, sandstorms, and whatever our nations receive?

at first i thought it was the environmental issues, but then that didn't make sense as i am in an "environmentally stunning" nation, but ranked rather poorly in the best weather category.

i will be grateful to anyone who can explain to me this particular ranking process.

Don't those rankings describe themselves as showing which nations' governments seem determined to have the best weather? As opposed to who actually has the best weather?

So maybe its based on how ddetermined your government is to make people happy, so soemthing along those lines.

Its to do with environment and pollution. I was 4th in the world on the last weather count and im purely an environmental nation. Things like banning cars and mining help.

So I can either vie for having a rich, powerful, and compassionate country, or one where it doesn't storm as much. Gotta need balance, ya know.

Well, isn't the whole idea of NS that you can't have it all, that you need to make tradeoffs?
