I recently got the following issue that I think is not clear enough. Would you guys please reconsider this issue and either revise or revoke it?
Is his a reference to "Watership Down" by John Hurt. A novel that addresses some dark topics of life an death as it follows the adventures of a tribe of rabbits. Inmd, reports a couple of adaptions to movie (http://imdb.com/title/tt0078480/) and TV (http://imdb.com/title/tt0211882/) formats.
So this issue is about playing this movie in the daytime? Is that what "disposal of the watershed" is supposed to mean? (A watershed being either a type of geography (wetland draining into a watercourse) or a crucial turning point).
Or following the idea of a watershed as a "crucial turning point"... Maybe this means we currently have strict time scheduling of TV content where certain content is deemed inappropriate for children and therefor can only appear late at night? The choices then are "allow any content at any time" or "Continue to restrict what can appear at certain times of day"?
The second one seems more likely, but it took me quite a long time to figure it out.
Either way (Watership Down or Dividing Points), I think this issue needs reworked to make the topic easier to understand.
Watershed Down?
The Issue
An anonymous society of 'cinematic aficionados' have brought the debate over the proposed disposal of the watershed to your attention.
The Debate
1. "We don't need a watershed!" scoffs 'romantic-movie' buff, Miranda Winters. "I don't see why I should wait 'til way past midnight to watch my preferred film genre. It's high time that parents stopped treating their children like... well, children! If you sugar-coat these kids' lives, they'll just end up seeing everything through rose-tinted glasses - and we can't have a country filled with spoilt brats now, can we?"
[Accept]
2. "This is an endorsement of bad taste if ever I saw it," says Randy O'Bannon, a child-care worker. "It's just wrong to subject children to graphic violence and nudity on afternoon television like this: who knows what it might possess them to do? We've all heard stories of kids who have seen some film where someone jumped off a cliff and then gone off to have a shot themselves. We must ban all violent and salacious material from our TV screens. If only to protect the innocence of our progeny!"

Issue by: The Free Cypranian States of New Cyprus (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/73052/page=display_nation/nation=new_cyprus)
Editor: Sirocco (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/73052/page=display_nation/nation=sirocco)
Edit: forgot to add the guess that it's probably refering to when certain topics can be shown on tv.
Best wishes
