The Marijuana issue is quite poorly written, and I had to dismiss it. Both of the options provided lead to larger government enforcing:
Opt #1 - A ban on pot in public places, or
Opt #2 - The "right" to have pot on the job.
What about an Option #3: The company should be able to fire employees who under perform due to the use of any substance, including pot. No government action required. Those who can't cope will "weed" themselves out of society.
At most, government should offer grants/vouchers to cover some of the costs for private/charitable organizations that provide assistance to those who wish to quit.
