More sports other than baseball please.

I'm not a big baseball fan. And I keep seeing these issues for the "Batter Up!" Baseball league.

What about other sports? Hockey in particular. Yes I'm living proof of a Canadian stereotype. :P

I mean if a hockey league wanted support, hell yeah I would do that.

Or Formula 1.

That's the way I feel about said issue, although for me it's football I want on there. Uhm hmm, living proof of American stereotypes right here ;)

Still, I just view the issue as any sport...whatever sport you want. If only we had some customizable field for entering "national sport" and based the issue around that, oh that would rock.

if anyone is thinking of telling me to suggest that for NS2, don't, I haven't got the money to play it

I think it probably should be like different races; made-up games. I sent an issue (basically about what the Yankees are doing to Major League Baseball) that commented the "Bigtopian Giants have won their fifth straight fizzbin league championship"...

And I'm sure we can find other "sports"...Quidditch would be ideal for an issue or two...

Like I pointed out with my National Stadium issue, Football's good because it's something everyone relates to.

For North Americans it means Gridiron
For Australians it means Aussie Rules
For the rest of us it means what's known in America as Soccer.

It would be great if there was a national sport option though, or maybe one where you could pick several, and then you could get various options relating to them. Although maybe that's too complicated to do.

That sounds good. Choosing your national sports and stuff.

That is an idea for Nation States v2. It wouldn't / shouldn't be harder than picking your national animal.

There should be a short list of things:

Capital name
National Animal
National Tree
Currency
Language(s)
Ruling Body's name

I don't think it costs that much.

I saw something somewhere, I forget what it said cos it was in funny money, but it's about £3 a month I think, but then that may well be funny money to you.

They're saying $5/mo, and yes, I am unfamiliar with the pound.

That is too much to spend on an online game, I simply don't have the means. But now I think we're off topic, I've argued this enough in the NS2 forum as is.

Fencing! Fencing!

Actually, for rp purposes, I just read baseball as fencing, or any other sport that catches my fancy. Right now, I just set up a massive national bloodsport association.

NBA, for real men.
