I got an issue concerning freedom of speech (forgot its exact wording), and the result was that the kids from my nation were acknowledged as being the most foul-mouthed in the region. My political freedoms were excellent, and now they're merely good. I thought this would increase political freedom, as I chose the option of free speech!
Are you in the UN? If you are, I know your problem. Rights and Duties of NationStates passed yesterday, and its enactment caused the transfer of a number of political freedoms from the people, and granted them to the UN.(For instance citizen are no longer able to endlessly protest UN legislation) It was this that caused your PF to drop, not in Increase in civil rights. Mine dropped in a similar matter.
I'm glad I'm not in the UN. Get out while you have a chance.
