Issue conflict/redundancy
Not sure if this counts as a bug, or it's just me being picky, but I had an issue called(I think) something like "Reclaim the streets", and decided to ban them thar cars. The next issue I had(sorry, no idea of name), my car manufacturers were complaining about competition from foriegn companies who could sell their cars cheaper because of the lower cost of labour abroad.
Does this not make sense to anyone else? If cars are banned, there's no industry there, so no people to complain about this issue.
Again, maybe me being picky, or optimistic, but I would've thought your answers to some issues would exclude you from getting others. Obviously this'd be time consuming to implement, and maybe these are the only two that seem to conflict like this.
Thoroughly stoked on 99% of everything else though, so seems a bit of a shame to moan. Keep up the good work
You banned the use of cars, not the manufacture of cars for the purpose of export.

Ouch, that a lot of posts.
Aye, but their complaint was that forieng companies were able to sell their cars cheaper in Takuan, because of the lower labour costs over seas, and one of the solutions was to raise import duties, another was to ditch minimum wage laws so they could build them cheaper. Pretty much implies they were moaning about not being able to sell cars in this country, rather than exporting them.
Yes, that one should be changed so it's not valid if you've banned cars. (That is something they can do with issues, so it's not unreasonable.)
Tell me if any have seen an issue like this:
Tourists accustomed to romantic images of ancient ruins intertwined with gargantuan roots know not of the nightmare that the strangler figs pose to researchers that attempt to restore the site.
1 "These trees are a menace," says Foreman Fred Saust. "The roots destroy the carvings and old trees bring the walls down." Lets tear them out and finish the preservation."
2 "But the roots are holding the structure together," comments head acrheologist Will Sate. "The trees are now a part of the structure and removing them will bring the walls down. We need more funding so that we can direct the growth around the most important pieces."
3 "The tourists can't wait forty years and they come to see both the trees and the ruins," states project manager Ray Chugar. "Let's compromise. They won't be traveling through half the area anyway. Cut them from there and bolster what we leave behind."
I got the idea from an article in Smithsonian Magazine about refurbishing Angkor Wat. If you have seen an issue like that, I will not submit it.

This has nothing to do with the car issues being discussed, so it really should have been put in its own topic.
Can a mod split this off into a separate topic?
I feel that it does go with the overall topic: issue redundancy. The discussion began with a complaint about conflict and redundancy in received issues. I would like to prevent that happening with the issue that I have just put up.
That earlier discussion seems spent, so why beat a dead horse when you can use its skin as leather? Which is to say, post more discussion that follows the overall goal of this topic rather than the way people have been, and soon will stop, talking of.

First, I think an issue like this is a great idea. But since Strangler Figs are what is tearing into the foundation of the ruins, should they be capitalized? It may help in reading the beginning.

Well, on issues redundancy,
Sometime ago I got the organ donations issues at the same time, so
organ donations became compulsory
and
organ donations were amongst the lowest on the region
okay, this doesn't seem right.. lol

In the realm of NS, the "issues" may take "effect," but they aren't really being put into practice. It's just like when the UN passes a bill, there's no way to really "enforce" it in the NS universe. Issues are the same way, therefore, their can be similar back-to-back issues that make no sense.
