Consider this issue I prepared:

Wasting waistline and stunted height alarms medical researchers

A medical study has revealed that a significant proportion of @@NAME@@’s children are either stunted, wasted or both stunted and wasted.

For nations with poor health plus any of the following: economy at ‘Fragile’ or below AND/OR very high social inequality

[option] “Children like me are in desperate need of food,” says twelve-year-old starveling @@RANDOMNAME@@, who is 126 centimetres tall and weighs 20 kilograms. “Hunger stabs my stomach. My limbs have withered and my mind has slowed. Yet I see big, fat Western tourists and their spoilt, asthmatic children. How dare they live in mansions, guzzling massive amounts of resources and buying material possessions at such a rate that their will to reproduce is dying. I’m sick of living on the wrong side of global capitalism. The government must do all it can to give us enough food to restore and maintain health.”
[effect] #1 For nations with economy at ‘Imploded’: delegates have gone to the United Nations, begging for emergency food aid
#2 For nations with economy from ‘Basket Case’ to ‘Struggling: a limited feeding program for the poorest children is underway while delegates lobby the United Nations for emergency food aid
#3 For nations with economy from ‘Developing’ to ‘Good’: the government has begun a moderate feeding program for poor children
#4 For nations with economy from ‘Strong’ to ‘Powerhouse’: the government has begun an extensive feeding program for impoverished families
#5 For nations with economy at ‘All-Consuming’ and above: the government has begun a massive feeding program for impoverished people
[stats] #1 public apathy decreases, compassion increases, devoutness increases
#2 as for #1 AND civil rights increase a bit, health funding increases a bit, social equality funding increases a bit, welfare funding increases a bit, tax rate increases a bit, government size increases a bit
#3 as for #1 AND civil rights increase, health funding increases, social equality funding increases, welfare funding increases, tax rate increases, government size increases
#4 as for #3 except tax rate AND education funding increases, happiness increases, intelligence increases, tax rate increases significantly, corruption level decreases
#5 civil rights increase, education funding increases significantly, health funding increases significantly, social equality funding increases significantly, welfare funding increases significantly, book publishing sector increases, information technology sector increases, public apathy decreases significantly, happiness increases, intelligence increases significantly, tax rate increases significantly, compassion increases significantly, devoutness increases, government size increases significantly, corruption level decreases

[option] “If we do this by ourselves, then there’ll be a huge tax rise, which will benefit nobody.” Treasurer @@RANDOMNAME@@ says. “What I propose is a Free Trade agreement with the Democratic Superpower of NationStates. We can give the DSN complete access all our natural and mineral resources in return for a reliable supply of food aid. Poverty will end, and our economy will go through the roof. What sane government wouldn’t make a dash for this goldmine?”
[effect] @@NAME@@ has been colonised by the Democratic Superpower of NationStates
[stats] civil rights go to ‘good’, political freedoms go to ‘rare’, economy increases, defense funding increases, commerce funding increases, law & order funding increases, health funding increases, environment funding decreases, all industries increase, public apathy decreases a bit, happiness increases a bit, intelligence increases, environment deteriorates, tax rate increases, compassion decreases, devoutness increases, government size increases, corruption level increases

[option] “The reason that many families live in poverty is because they have too many children,” says angry taxpayer @@RANDOMNAME@@. “What’s the point of giving them food if they continue to breed? I say that we convince mainstream @@NAME@@ that giving out any social, welfare and food aid benefits is a total waste of money. Then maybe poor people will learn not to have so many children.”
[effect] a man-made famine is sweeping throughout @@NAME@@
[stats] civil rights decrease significantly, political rights decrease, law & order funding increases, health funding decreases, social equality funding decreases to zero, welfare funding decreases to zero, public apathy decreases, happiness decreases significantly, intelligence decreases significantly, environment deteriorates, tax rate decreases, compassion decreases significantly, devoutness decreases, government size increases, corruption level increases significantly, crime rises to 'crippling'

Is it possible to assign different effects and stats to different types of nations? Mods are most welcome to answer.

Anyone able and willing to answer? :(

Since no one else answered, I'll go with no.
Of course, I could be wrong...

Well, it would be possible to have multiple versions of the issue with the same wording but different effect lines. But I don't think they'd do that.

Stats-wise, I know the mods have said the same issue choice can have differenct effects on different nations, but I can't say anything as to how.

Probably not. But, if you rant like a maniac, I'm sure you'll catch their attention.

Naleth is correct. The only way to do what you ask would be to have different issues, with identical text, but different effects, for different nations.

While it's an interesting idea, I'm not so sure that we'd be able to get the organization down properly (plus, [violet] or Max would have to approve such an idea).

The way that effects are done allows us some degree of control, so that while all nations are effected identically, the results are different (Yes, I know that it's contradictory, but there is nothing I can do about that). It's similar to saying that that stat a will double when an issue is received. All nations will have the same change performed, but it will effect them drastically differently, depending on what stat a used to be.

Thank you for replying. :) :D I will attempt to follow your instructions. One question: if I'm submitting multiple issues with identical options but different effects, should the title be the same for all the issues or should each issue have a different title? Or should I use the same title and put after it [mark 1], [mark 2], etc?

Arrange it with a moderator first, they'll give you detailed instructions. This is not the type of thing you can just throw in and expect to be handled. We hav e to know that it's coming.

:?: Any mod able and willing to do what SalusaSecondus proposed above?
