Gender confusion

Cutting Off Sex Offenders?

The Issue
After the capture and trial of notorious rapist Henry Taiden, who was convicted of the rape of over 50 women in the past two years a debate has emerged on how he should be punished.

The Debate
"That psychopath should be castrated!" cries rape victim Chastity Jong-Il, "The agony he put me through must be punished with a means that will ensure that no human being will ever go through what I did! If castration is used more often in these cases you will see rape drop to nothing!"

The name marked with red color here can either be male or female. Small inconsistency.

It doesn't matter since the @@randomname@@ macro doesn't distinguish between male and female names!

Then the issue should say that "...of the rape of over 50 people...", not "...of the rape of over 50 women...".

Men get raped too, although I guess it isn't as common. According to the issue as it is today, a man's name as a victim doesn't make any sense.

Hmmm, there are plenty of Pats, Chris' etc in society that have gender neutral names, but this doesn't make their sex inconsistent. It seems the same logic would follow with your post -- just because there is a gender neutral name doesn't necessarily make it inconsistent.

:?:

Are there any women named Al? I don't care if some names are neutral, that isn't my point at all.

Or Bill or something. What we really need is for names to be chosen by the nation, so that nations have customized names, like how people from China have Chinese names, Spain, Spanish names, etc.

I'm male. Note the pic of attractive women.

 Sweet Jesus. *bangs head against wall*

Am I really expressing myself so poorly? One more time then:

Cutting Off Sex Offenders?

The Issue

* Very gender specific.
* Not at all gender specific. On the contrary. Random gender as Rejistania points out.

This is why I started ths thread in the first place. I suggest either a change of the word 'women' to 'humans' or 'people' or 'citizens' or an other word that does not specify the gender, OR a specific female name, like Bobby-Sue.

This is not going to happen. Right now the @@RANDOMNAME@@ variable selects from random names. If there's a gender conflict, too bad. This is almost 100% definitely not going to happen.

*sighs*

Well, there is another solution to the gender conflict pointed out above... If it's not going to happen... *shrugs* ...it will remain a poorly constructed issue (in 50% of the cases, given that there are an equal amount of male and female random names). That's all.

I recomend changing it to "50 people" because

a] it makes male players just as interactive to the issue as female players
b] people covers all humans
c] "people" is also an acceptable term used by non-humans. Well at least by those in the non-Human Union.

[stop species discrimination!] goes my feed-back afflicted megaphone of justice.
