WE KNOW ABOUT THE DAM ISSUE.
So please stop creating this endless stream of threads about it. The issue will be fixed soon. :)
Foolish n00bs. There's no reason to go in a panic over an issue.

It should read like this-
Government Acts
The Issue
A group of Greenpeace protesters have called for an end to a government proposal to begin damming rivers in Your Nation to increase water supplies and generate power.
The Debate
"Don't build dams!" shouts protestor Prudence Longfellow through a microphone heavily afflicted with feedback. "Do you know how many fish die in other dams in Your Region each year? Have you heard of the adverse effects building a dam has on the surrounding environment? Dam up this flood of dams, damn it!"
[Accept]
"Think before you open your mouth," says engineer Clint Mistletoe. "While Your Nation may have to pay the price in animal diversity, as well as adverse effects on the environment, do we really want fossil-fuel based plants polluting Your Nation? If you use your common sense, I think you'll find that damming some rivers would be a good idea. Plus, think of how much the economy would benefit from all the jobs these projects would create."

The title looks better if you read it as 'WE KNOW ABOUT THE DAMN ISSUE.'

He should change the title to "WE KNOW ABOUT THE DAMN DAM ISSUE!"
Bas, do you know the stats for the second choice?

Would some Mod-ish type consider posting a cross-reference Announcement in Technical and Gameplay until this issue is fixed? I'd like to read some of the other posts in there, and they're still damming it up.
DAM THEM ALL!!!!!

Heh, I love play on words.
Bas, do you know the stats for the second choice?
Sorry, still observing what happens when people pick this issue. I'll know soon-ish, probably after the bug is fixed and people choose an option.

The Issue is all effed up so wouldn't the results possibly be?
I dismissed it this morning because the only option I could read was the third one and I don't want that one. Can't pick the first one because there's nowhere to click.
I think we should look on the bright side... At least new Issues are starting to show up. We shouldn't be too terribly concerned with the bathwater while we still have the baby.

OK look... there are only two options. There are two "accept" links - USE THEM. Also, the options and effects are not in any way messed up. It was just one typo on the "region" macro, from what I've gathered
The first's effect is "floods that dams could have controlled regularly ravage small towns in mountain valleys" ... it looks like your environment goes up and economy down, although the effect doesn't entirely support that, so I wouldn't mind a second opinion here.
Second's is "scenic mountain valleys are flooded with water as damming projects get underway"... one assumes the opposite takes place, ie, economy down and environment up.
I forgot the stats I wrote, but for the love of G-d, n00bs, I'm not the one who edited this damn dam issue(I like my play on words. :p). The variables have to be edited manually by the mods, so don't get all worked up. Even if I fuxxored it, the onus is on the editor to fix it. Not me. Thank goodness my inbox is only limited to 15 TGs. :D Oh wait, now it'll fill up again. *grumbles*

Shouldn't there be something about this on the technical forum seeing as how it is a bug and that forum is described as being for bug reports.
I was about to post a topic about it, but just happened to click on a poorlyt named topic on that forum where someone mentioned looking here.

Nope. Apparently the issue editor(it's an automated one, just controlled by the mods), fuxxored my @@REGION@@ and @@NAME@@ variables. And now please don't TG me nor RP, because [violet] is the only one who can fix this.

Dear Reploid Productions,
Sorry I did not contact you about this sooner, I did mean to do this earlier. Last week I got this issue about dams which was really messed up, so I just dismissed it. You might want to look into checking that out, because I think something there might be wrong.
Yours truly,
