Repeating issues
I am not sure whether this is supposed to happen, but in the last week, I have been given many issues that I have already been asked about. Today I got the question about appointing a new religion minister for the 3rd time! Has the system ran out of issues, or is it testing me to see if I give the same answers each time?

There are only about 80 issues at the moment (someone correct me if I'm worng) so naturally you'll get many repeats. Some issues are dependent on your stats, some are free for all. Since the issues are picked at random (among those who are valid for your nation), you might get the same issue several times within a short span, or maybe never see them.

I haven't a clue how many issues are in rotation but I've had a number of them come around on me more than once. The game aparently doesn't keep track of what issues each player has seen... or does it? :?
Oh yeah, and aparently the people in issues don't talk with the people in UN proposals because nearly the same Euthanasia issue was up for decision in both places.
Hey, I sent in an issue of my own for consideration and haven't heard squat from anyone. I would be willing to revise it if the admins thought it was junk but they didn't even tell me that they recieved the thing. :x
I mean if the issues are getting old let some new ones get thrown in the cue!
The game rotates issues randomly, unless a nation is invalid in regards to the selected issue(i.e. no elections, but the issue pertains to them), in which case another issue will be selected. Thus, even if you haven't seen all issues, you'll likely repeat some others.
As for acceptance of issues, the mods are too busy to let you know when your issue has been reviewed, and an automated system would put too much strain on the server. For now, you will only receive a telegram when your issue is accepted.
Think of it as a chance to get some variety in your answers. If you pick the same answer too many times, the bad effects of it may start to affect you substantially. I have one nation that hasn't been able to get "Political Freedoms" above "Below Average" for ages, and I think it's because I made voting compulsory too many times...

Unfortunately, I don't think that we're ever going to completely sort through all the suggestions you guys have submitted =p Last time we got official figures from [violet] on the backlog, there were over 3,000 submissions. By now, I wouldn't doubt there are over 5,000. We're adding new issues, just slowly, because it does take time to edit an issue so that it can be used in the game. (I think we're still going through stuff submitted back in August x_x)

Nah, I think it's September. I think the issue of mine that got accepted was submitted in September...

just give up on thinking my issue will come up any time soon and have to keep telling the BUBL they can have their sports funding and the nudists be allowed to streak accross them?
What's the shelf life on these issues anyway? Do they stay in rotation for a month or is it more like a year? I have a feeling I could be hitting "dismiss" a lot if the issues stop being fresh or interesting.

They get chosen at random from the current pool of issues available to you. There are only 90 possible issues at this time, and many of them are only available when certain conditions are met. (Issues restoring elections are only available for countries that have banned elections, for instance.)
So, especially if you're taking two issues a day, that's 14 issues per week out of a pool of maybe 70 that you're eligible for. Yes, you're going to see repeats fairly often. Reduce the frequency of your issues, or live with it. 8)

yes yes I am living with it and the total lack of economy related issues that I like has imploded my economy...
