Title: Arms industry demands better recognition

Description: Representatives of @@NAME@@’s arms industry have been up in arms over the lack of public and private support for their sector.

Validity: valid for all nations

Options:

[option] “Retired colonel and director of @@RANDOMNAME@@ Arms, @@RANDOMNAME@@, wrote to the state newspaper: “It’s shameful the way we’ve been treated over the last few years! Shameful! Our workers, and I tell you we have a great many of them, can’t barely get to work for protestors and demonstrations and all that hippie nonsense. And as for these new trade laws about ‘Ethical weapons trade practices’? I say we need full government recognition, relaxation of trade barriers and a crackdown on all these fools who try to shut us down.”
[effect] Arms industry gains official backing, any protests against businesses are treated more harshly, military strength increases.
[stats] Economy increases, personal freedoms decrease a bit.

[option] @@RANDOMNAME@@, president of the Fluffy Liberal Alliance writes on their website: “The arms industry is a stain on our nations’ soul and must be removed. How can we take money for the production of these evil weapons of war? The government should take a stand and outlaw the whole sector, not grant subsidies!”
[effect] Arms sales outlawed, political participation from pacifist groups increases, military strength decreases.
[stats] freedom increases slightly

[option] Your trade ministry advises: “We can’t ban arms sales without harming the economy, but these disarmament groups could cause more trouble if we don’t do something… I know! We’ll increase additional checks on the groups we sell the weapons to. That way we don’t loose too much sales, but the liberals are persuaded we’re making a stand against nations who use the weapons for immoral ends.
[effect] Stricter regulation of international arms sales is introduced
[stats] size of government increases slightly

:) :) Needs to be more interesting how about an issue like this...

"I wouldn't even dare!" shouts angry Olympic Shootist @@RANDOMNAME@@, from his ranch. "Guns make this country what it is today, so help the arms manufactoring industry, or you'll have me and my friends to "talk" to!"

Or something along those lines, i just made that up from the top of my head 8)

The effects need to be a brief line that you'll see in your nation's description if you choose that option. As written, these effects sound more like stats.

So we're looking more towards:
The government backs the arms industry with tax benifits and disarmament protests are ruthlesslt extinguished.
Arms sales are outlawed and the Fluffy Liberal Alliance is a major player in national politics.
The arms trade is strictly regulated.
