:?: So I wrote up a wacky issue to submit, and now I'm curious whether it will be considered or not. I know there's a huge backlog anyway, but i want to know: since so much of this game is exaggerated, how exaggerated can you make the isues? How about UFOs? Suicide cults? Global plagues? Talking animals? AI computers that want rights? Anti-ESP privacy laws? Strip-mining the moon? Are these appropriate or inappropriate?
And for that matter:
I'd like to hear people's least-likely-to-be-used suggestions!

I can tell you what I look for. An issue should deal with the "real" world, or a close approximation thereof (as in where we might be in a few years).
One thing to remember is that issues can pressure a nation to take into account things that don't exist in their world.
I will not edit and release issues involving aliens, talking animals, ESP (unless written really well). However, that wouldn't stop me from looking at issues such as:
@@NAME@@ continues search for aliens
Minister of Science knows you'll support his ESP research proposal
Local zoo tries to teach animals to talk
But I do judge each on it's own merits. Those are just my guidelines.
