Bring back prisons!

Vercettia accidentally got rid of all of its prisons several weeks ago, and it has had a devastating and irreversible effect on the crime rate. Now, I want to bring back prisons, but there is no way to do this as I haven't gotten the prison issue again! Is there anything I can do?

Nope. Don't feel too bad; building more prisons also raises the crime rate. You were sucker-punched.
All you can do is wait for it to come up again...sorry :(
Education. That always helps diminish the crime rate. And getting rid of drug laws.
At least, in the real world.

Lausannia has been without prisons from the very beginning, and the crime rate has fluctuated without the prisons issue coming up again. Right now, crime is "moderate" (which is as high as it's got), but there have been times when it's been much lower.
Nothing in NS works the same as in the real world....
Oh believe me, I've noticed.
