Electronic Plague Issue (question about an effect)
I got an issue a few days ago, but I'm not sure how to answer it...

The malicious computer virus "DEAT.exe" is infecting nearly all the computers in KaneDragon and the people are crying out for the government to do something about it.
I can either:
1)Require teenagers to get licenses to use computers.
2)Release *Skynet* into the networks.
3)Ban computers.
4)Dismiss the issue.
Options 1 and 3 are just not acceptable, so my real question is about the effects of Option 2. If I release *Skynet*, what would happen? Would my ecomony go up (think of the efficiency!) while all my freedoms go down (evil machine race oppressing the citizens)?

I'm not totally sure but i don't think much will happen if you go with option 2 but i wouldn't be 100% sure on that :wink:
I don't like any of those, and would dismiss it. Releasing SKYNet would be too dangerous, and could have lasting repercussions.

I rather like option 2. Of course, turning my nation over to an AI is pretty much what my country's leaders would be likely to do. It's a nation of technophiles, so... yeah.

I think any issue whose options aren't understandable should be removed. I can't figure out what it means to "release an AI," and how it would help fix a virus.

It means that the government activates a sentient computer program, gives it access to the Internet and has it search and destroy the virus; the inside joke is that is pretty much the plot of Terminator 3 where the AI (Skynet) takes over everything and nukes humanity, starting the man-machine war.
