Hi, a friend of mine (too shy to post here) has her national animal teetering on extinction due to massive deforestation. However, she claims that none of the issues she had were ecological in nature. (no pun intended)
1. How did the massive deforestation start?
2. How can it be stopped?
The best way to stop massive deforestation is to choose pro-environment options on issues. These include things that make it illegal to eat your national animal and not mining uranium in your rainforest(funny how there is exactly one in every country).

Well, I have a very strong suspicion that this was due to either one of the original eight questions answered during the creation or an issue which I can't remember that deals not with environment, but with the national animal...

Even if it was from the original questions, it's still reversible. It's also easier to change things if you're a smaller nation.

True. Although I thought the friend had just created her nation today. *shrugs* Just a guess.

Then it *should* be easy, given enough time and just the right issues.
